I’m a bit late adding this review but Vasile just reminded me. We are really happy with the home that Vasile built for us. It’s a Victorian terrace over 3 floors that needed a full renovation including electrical re-wiring, new plumbing etc plus a gf side and rear extension plus a loft conversion. Vasile and his team worked really hard to get us the finish we wanted. He always was on-hand to solve problems from building control to water pressure. He was always very friendly to work with and extremely respectful. We always got the impression that he wants to make his customers happy and takes pride in his work. Because of Covid and issues with materials and the labour market, our job took longer than expected but I think this was really outside of anyone’s control. We now have a really beautiful house that we love living in and it’s in no small part thanks to Vasile. I have recommended Vasile to friends already and have shown some of his potential customers round our house. They were always really impressed and inspired.

Choosing MM builders was the best decision we could have made. Initial meetings: They took time to ensure they understand our work. They never complicated matters nor tried to hide things in any fine print and provided us with a estimated schedule and explained we would be kept up to date at all stages. Works: Their knowledge and work ethic is amazing and is reflected in their work. They gave us confidence and built trust very quickly. Always willing to go the extra mile and used their expertise to help us rectify issues or make suggestions in areas we would have never noticed ot thought of. Sam, Ross, Bill & Harry were so pleasant to have around the house. They were very conscious of the 3 young children in the house of which one has additional needs. They minimised disruption which is very difficult when doing major work in a areas and were always friendly and polite. We had no issues in having them inside our property which is very important when completing works taking just over 5 months. They work with specialist tradesman (tiler, plasterer, etc.) who are equally good at their trades. MM were very professional when it came to liasing with Building Control and made sure they were involved and visited at all key points. The aftercare we received was as good as we had received throughout the process. I have no hesitation in recommending MM for any building works. If I was to ever undertake any works in the future, it would be by them and only them.

It’s been a year since Lion completed the work and I am happy to say it is still looking great. Lions help with choosing materials and explaining the next stage of work was excellent. Lion completed the bathroom refit and then I asked him to refit the kitchen. His team were always on time in the morning. Appreciate all the hard work, highly recommend Lion.

Loft Conversion- 4 Nov 2019
Bermuda did a fantastic job from start to finish. Our dormer conversion turned out to be more complicated than originally thought but the team at Bermuda ensured everything ran smoothly and have absolutely transformed our house. We were extremely impressed with the quality of their work,high standard of finish and attention to every detail. The extra bedrooms and bathrooms they have created look superb. Will, Sam and Rob were highly professional, always easy to communicate with and provided great advice throughout the project. We would definitely recommend to family and friends and are already lining them up for some more work next year. The end result was beyond expectations, thanks Bermuda!! 5 Stars!!

Billy, Darren & the team have just finished the single side and rear extension & refurb works on my house, and they've done a brilliant job! From the start, quotations we're received promptly and competitively priced. Communication for commencement of works (during COVID-19) was always going to be uncertain but, Billy dealt with this really well and scheduled the work in as soon as was achievable. From the first day on site it was clear the team have worked with each other for years and are willing to put the extra time in to get the build done quickly, but correctly. Communication throughout build was processed well and the guys are on hand to respond to queries and questions at all times. We had a delay in the project which was unforeseen, but we sat down and came to an agreement and the extra work was carried out quickly and the project was wrapped up in really good time. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Innovation for any building or decoration work to friends and family as the end result of our place is stunning! Special shout out to Jordan, Fog, Florin (wood work wizard) & Joy for their hard work throughout. Thank you Innovation!

Ali Revani at Halibuild provided us with a quote which we accepted. 3 days before the job start date Ali Rezvani called and explained that they had under priced and they would want another £3000 to start the contract. Ali Rezvani then started the job but again admitted that they under priced the job and walked off the site several months into the project after the following major quality issues which needed to be addressed: Pouring the foundations in the wrong place, building the extension in the wrong place, building the roof incorrectly, installed roof steels in the incorrect position, built the extension rear wall too high, the plumbing to the boiler needed to be redone, all the plastering has had to be redone, skirtings needed to be redone, staircase had to be rebuilt. The list goes on and is 40+ points long. This has been a terrible experience and we face serious losses and a stressful dispute."

Nathan from HCJ Building Service was excellent in all respects. He built an extension to our garage, which involved block-work, timber framing, roofing, cladding and installation of a door. When he visited the site to provide an estimate, he was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. His quote was competitive and he promptly answered a few questions we had about some of the technical details. When working on the project, he always arrived when he said he would and left the site tidy when he finished. My wife and I were impressed with how hard he worked, barely stopping to drink a coffee. When we interrupted him to find out how things were going he was happy to give us an update. He was always friendly and polite. He completed the project on time and left the site as he found it, removing all his waste. The work was done to a very high standard. We are really pleased with the result. This extension has freed up space in the garage for my woodworking hobby. We will definitely be coming back to Nathan to quote for future building projects. Now that I have my woodworking man cave my wife has started thinking about the kitchen...

After much deliberation, I picked Daron and his crew for our job. From start he was very flexible, honest and accommodating. We quickly understood each other. His crew showed up when agreed and hit the ground running. The shell for our side extension was up in 4 weeks, quicker than expected. Quality of work was really good. As I am now taking over to finish the job, I also really appreciated that both Daron and his guys were more than happy to discuss next steps, or how to do some of the things. Also, if I get stuck I know I will be able to give them a ring and get them booked in to complete some of the items. It was a real pleasure working with them all, and should I have another job come up, I will not hesitate to call them again.

But we found Ben, if only I'd found him earlier here are his qualities - 😊 Professional - Good time keeping,he arrived at agreed time, his quote arrived on time on proper headed paper, his tools were clean he worked cleanly and tided up at end of each day, Ben was so thorough and took pride in his work. 😄 Very agreeable price 😊 Attitude - Ben was approachable,friendly and very patient, very polite - you actually get good morning, please and thanks - very unusual these days!! BS Loft Conversions are reliable, honest and operate with integrity. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for some building work whether they are big or small projects. They arrive on time, work hard and leave the site clean and tidy. Anxehlo always takes the time to answer any questions we may have and talks us through the process before providing us with all the options available from repair, replacement or re-instatement. As a novice to a huge development, it was difficult to find builders you can trust but, Anxhelo made that process easier, restoring our faith in construction work.
