Jon was able to take a failed project from a previous contractor and manage historic building preservation, regulation in Westminster, a lack of parking, plumbing from the Victorian age, and a demanding client to deliver a beautiful result. I love my garden flat extension, it manages to respect the historic nature of a building from the 1840s while also adding amenities to be proud of in 2025. Hard Flooring- 8 May 2019
I was very pleased with Igor’s work on the flooring and under floor heating, so decided to ask Raimundas to quote for a large bathroom, hallway, fitted kitchen, rewiring of all electrics and flooring throughout the rest of the flat. Due to work and my partner living overseas, I needed to trust somebody for a long length of time with my keys and my property. I was able to have a lot of the work done while not in the country, communicating with pictures, videos etc. Obviously this was important for me and made having the work done easier. There were also many problems with the kitchen delivery and other things that didn’t go according to plan. Raimundas was patient and polite at all times, even though it was sometimes rather frustrating. I highly recommend his services, and would definitely consider RR Construction for the next job

KBL recently completed a side infill extension for us that involved a lot of complex hurdles (e.g., requiring special foundations because of a Thames Water waste pipe and steel beams). In hindsight, we were very lucky to have hired them because they made the whole experience stress-free by explaining everything to us and handling our neighbours, contractors, structural engineer and building control for us. The amount of digging in confined spaces and hard, physical labour they put into this job is amazing. The extension looks great, is solid, warm and watertight. The wetroom they built inside it hasn't had any problems - plumbing is working great. Their plastering quality is excellent. We had to live in the property during the 4 months of construction but we felt relaxed and 100% trusted KBL to respect and care for the house. They have a lot of experience, know the building regulations, use quality materials and methods, they answered all of our questions with patience and always responded to my phone calls + texts quickly. They're so good that we'll give them an additional job to do which we originally planned for in spring 2024. Everyone we know wants KBL's contact details and we definitely want to ask them back for future work.

Kamil and his colleague were brilliant and I’d highly recommend them. We had a ceiling crack that was bowing, Kamil correctly identified the issue and fixed it. He also sanded and primed our ceiling and walls, ready for us to paint. Kamil & his colleague worked really hard to finish the job in just two days and were polite and tidy. He was clear and considerate about the costs.

The builders did an incredible job refurbishing my house. For my house I wanted to break the internal wall to create a bigger living room and also for them to refurbish the toilet. In the beginning they’ve set a period when everything will be done and they’ve stuck to it so they are trustworthy. Seeing the progress, I could definitely tell that they were working incredibly hard and I know that they have been working long hours to ensure that they manage to finish it within the timeframe that they’ve set. I would definitely recommend them.

We put the ad up on Saturday morning, Ed popped over in the afternoon and gave us a quote and the job was completed on Monday! Super quick process. For a job that was causing us stress and we quickly realised we couldn’t do ourselves, Ed came in and sorted it really quickly as well as giving us advice on next steps for our redecorating. I engaged Edi to work on a full renovation and refurbishment of a 4 bedroom detached house with front and back gardens on Blackheath’s Cator Estate. Edi did an extensive amount of work, including stripping out; plumbing; plastering; windows installation; carpentry; and decoration. In addition, after commencing the property work, once the scaffold had been erected, following sensible advice, Edi and his team replaced the roof and fully insulated the attic; fitted additional electric points; rebuilt the garden patio; and replaced the flooring throughout, in addition to other important jobs including re rendering and pointing of chimneys, building new wardrobes in the main bedrooms; and upgrading the radiators. A new kitchen, and two new bathrooms have been fitted. The kitchen redesign meant knocking through a wall with the lounge to create a larger space. Edi is a highly skilled craftsman, who thinks creatively as he works to make best use of the space, including shelf fittings, and additional lighting for example. He has built some beautiful wardrobes, and the internal decorations have brightened up what was previously a rather shabby looking house. In addition to the above, I wish to commend Edi for his professionalism, courtesy, and passion for doing the best work possible. On all the site visits I attended, and every time I spoke with him on the phone, it was striking how much he cared about the work that he was doing, his desire to ensure that the house would look the best. I always left site visits with the feeling that he cared so much about the house that he could be safely relied on to give the best advice to enable us to make the right decisions. I also noticed that Edi and his team would take the upmost care to keep the property safe, tidy and in good shape throughout the project. He can be fully trusted to look after any site he works on. He is intelligent and careful when it comes to safety and security. It has been a pleasure for Edi and his team to work with us over a period of around 6 months, and he did so much to reduce the stress of a significant project so that we could always rely on him to work methodically, patiently and sensibly, and to make best use of the resources available. His pleasantness shines through, and everyone I know who has spoken to him has always provided me with the most positive feedback I have no hesitation in recommending Edi to anyone who wishes to engage him for future projects, and is most deserving of the good words that I and others that work with him have to say about him.

We have been working with Derek Borkiewicz (Sebek Construction) on a renovation of a garden flat in Little Venice since last autumn. We needed to completely restore the whole flat, including the garden. This was our second renovation project and by this time we knew what we wanted to do, which mistakes to avoid and what to pretend from a qualified builder. We will never stop saying how lucky we have been to find Derek and his team! Derek is not only a professional builder who is very careful to the smallest of the details. He is not only a very good project manager who is constantly checking the work of his men. Derek is a friend who takes on board a project like it is his own project. He suggested the most convenient and best solutions for any problem we came across during the works. There wasn’t a time when he didn’t know what to do to solve a difficult situation (and there are lots of small and big issues coming up in a renovation work) no matter how complicate they were and how long it took to solve them. His availability and his courtesy are incredible above all in a fast running city like London. This is priceless to us. His hard work can be seen in the wonderful result we reached with this garden flat. If we ever decide to work on another project we won’t think twice about working with Derek once again. He truly showed professionalism that I had struggled as a guest house operator to get from handy people. He would go out of his way to satisfy. The finished redecorated room project was a masterpiece and took a little longer than planned because of the weather but he gave it his all! I am pleased I took a chance on him as there was no review on his profile when I hired him. I would however, pay attention to work and point out issues as they come up otherwise, you will have dirt and rubbish to content with as the workers leave all the mess after work.
