Painting & Decorating- 24 Feb 2020
Quite literally the worst tradesman I have ever worked within 25 years as a property developer! He came and quoted to paint my house (a good price I must say), little did I know that this meant he would spray everything that he can see, not prepare the surfaces by sanding them down or protects things. This included door handles, hinges, radiators, alarms sensors, tiles and my own furniture and cooking utensils. First time I confronted him about this he said that we would clean everything, and we agreed to carry own. However, it became apparent that we was doing the same as previously discussed. have paid hi 66% of what was agreed, I quickly realised that the damaged he has caused was going to cost me far more and I told him to leave. The next day he turned up at my house with his wife demanding the balance which I refused to give him, they were both shouting outside my house, threatening to call the police. I eventually agreed to pay the 50% of what was left, just so that they would leave. However, even once he had confirmed writing his acceptance of this, he walks over to me and threatened me one final time, saying that he will take me to court etc, there is god and he will see to me! I advise to stay away from this person, better to pay a little more and work with professionals who don't agree with one thing and do another. He paints using a spray, which means you can not touch anything up and he quite literally paints everything he sees!!

Conversions - General- 3 Sep 2025
Big refurb of 1650 sq ft flat, plus building 2 additional ensuites. Initial quote seemed reasonable but then once in, costs started to rise exponentially. Some work was done well, like the building component and flooring, but finishing was poor. Painting, particularly of internal doors, was done poorly, without removal of fittings first, so lots of overpainting and insufficient prep and coats. Regrouting and redecoration of front and rear patios was done poorly, with weeds already poking through. There was damage to existing bathtubs and WCs by not protecting surfaces and pouring waste materials down the pan. Everything was an argument with constant demands for more money e.g. front door only painted one side as the other side not included under "paint door". Lots of "snagging" - I only have manual on/off control of heating and hot water as "smart" thermostat won't connect, there are odd water pressures through some fixings...and now there's a leak under one of the WCs...

FF Solutions did a fantastic job on our single storey extension with ensuite. Jay would give me daily updates as to what works were taking place and his attention fo detail is fantastic. His suggestions for cerfain aspects of the works were spot on especially our new shower room finishes. His prices were very reasonable considering rhe high spec of his workmanship. His lads were all excellent and polite and on a whole we had made the right choice choosing FF Soltions. I would 100% recommend Jay and his lads to my friends and anyone reading this feedback.

Extensions- 21 Jul 2025
I recently hired AK construction to build an extension on my home, and I am beyond impressed with their work ethic, flexibility, and outstanding customer service. The extension was built to the highest standard—flawless craftsmanship, attention to detail, and seamless integration with my existing home. The team was punctual, tidy, and respectful throughout the project. What really stood out was their willingness to help, even beyond the contracted work. When I had some DIY tasks, they offered advice, lent me tools, and even stepped in to assist where they could—despite not being obligated to do so. Their kindness and professionalism didn’t waver, even when I declined additional quotes for other work. They stuck to the timeline and budget with no surprises. Communication was excellent, and they treated my home with care as if it were their own. I can’t recommend Ali and AK Construction enough—they’re trustworthy, skilled, and genuinely care about their clients.
