100% RECOMMENDED Michelle and her partner measured up and competitively quoted within a short space of time. She was then very patient and supportive when unforeseen planning issues popped up and set the start date back by quite some time. Once building started, all questions were promptly answered by either the site manager or Michelle, both being available at all times. I was away for the duration of most of the job and it was very reassuring to know that I was leaving it all in capable and honest hands. The workers were very proficient and tidied up after themselves at end of each day. They also put in some very long hours at times to hasten the work. I was also impressed by the handling of unexpected problems during the building (mainly invasive tree stumps!). I am absolutely thrilled with the end result. High quality workmanship and a beautiful building which I am sure will last many years. I would certainly recommend them without a doubt.

Disappointed- Avoid I hired EDSS Ltd for a full home renovation including loft, kitchen extension, driveway, outbuilding, and garden. The original project timeline was 17–19 weeks but extended to over 16 months, with several key areas still incomplete or unsatisfactory. While there were some changes to scope and delays (e.g. tenant moving out late), the lack of project management and missed deadlines became a major issue. There was no clear schedule, and expensive materials like kitchen and bathrooms sat unused for months, impacting warranties. Throughout the process, I experienced repeated requests for payments at inappropriate times, and there were long absences without notice, which delayed progress further. The quality of workmanship fell short in many areas. For example, drainage issues led to multiple visits from Thames Water, and I eventually had to hire another company to remedy after months of issues. A lot of work was left unfinished and needed to be outsourced.

Restoration & Refurbishment- 16 May 2021
TLC have completed the first phase of the project which has involved a complete renovation and upgrade of the kitchen, bathroom, and rear garden area. A new contemporary staircase has also been fitted. The work has been completed well ahead of schedule, and this is testament to the planning and coordination skills provided by TLC. All of the work has been completed to a very high standard, and a great deal of care has been taken to ensure the minimum disruption to the local residents. We are extremely grateful for the advice and support provided to us leading up to the restoration work and whilst the restoration was underway, and we are absolutely delighted with the final results. Our house has been transformed into a contemporary family home. Many thanks to Bradley, Paul, and the rest of the team at TLC.

Giani and his colleague repaired our wall beautifully for a reasonable price. He talked us through the issues that caused the wall to fail and explained what needed doing. He started the job the next morning arriving promptly and then went about the job with care and pride. Valdemar and his team of workers were outstanding. I have never known builders to be so thorough, honest and just generally nice people. They can be trusted and gave honest opinions. They were in tune with the building control requirements and worked very hard always arriving on time and working solidly throughout the day. They may be a bit pricey but you definitely got what you paid for - First class workmen ship.

Extremely pleased with the job Remi did. At the quoting stage he was upfront about costs we might not have considered, but still ended up being very competitive on price. During the job, he communicated clearly when he came up against issues; his fitting was to a high standard; he was on time and worked as long as he needed to each day to finish the job. His after-care was also good, as he returned to fix a related issue that arose during the work without quibbling; he also came back to complete fitting an item whose delivery had been delayed. Overall, I'd definitely hire him again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Brendan – Exceptional Carpenter & Roof Specialist We hired Brendan originally just to complete a large pitched roof, but very quickly it became clear that his skill, work ethic, and attention to detail were on another level. He quite literally saved our project. What was meant to be a short-term roofing job turned into Brendan staying with us every single day for nearly three months, taking on all of our carpentry work across a major build. It’s incredibly rare to find someone with this level of craftsmanship, reliability, and commitment. Nothing was ever too much trouble, his workmanship was consistently exceptional, and he worked with a level of pride that is almost impossible to find these days. The only reason he eventually stopped was because he had to honour a prior commitment on another job — otherwise I would have happily kept him on until the entire build was finished.
