Quotation provided was within our budget. Works schedule provided to ensure clear list of work that would be completed by the builder and what needs to be supplied by ourselves. Approx timescale of 3 months work for completion. Workman were very punctual and all hardworking. At each stage of the renovation any additional works required were agreed before proceeding. Due to the condition of our internal walls we needed to agree additional work to replace them. Builder agreed to plaster board plus labour, which was as expected. All jobs at each stage were organised by the builder and at no stage were there any hold ups. There were some issues with the double glazing firm used but again A1 builders organised replacements and communicated with all parties to ensure the project completed on time. At any stage if something didn't look right from our original request we were consulted before proceeding. Example was we had originally requested two velux window in our extension but before cutting out we were advised that 3 would look better and let in more light. We are so glad we chose this option because A1 builders were correct. We also requested A1 builders to fit our Kitchen and tile our floor which again was in addition but we we agreed on a price before work started. All work was carried out to a high standard and exceeded our expectations. All workmen used by A1 builders were hard working and left work areas tidy before leaving the premises. Our house is now a home.

I couldnt recommend Dave and Wayne more highly. Both incredibly professional and courteous. They have done a superb job fitting my kitchen and were more than happy to accommodate my request to add additional extras at last minute. They are both such lovely guys and I didn't hesitate leaving them to get on with things without feeling I had to be present in my home. I highly recommend them, I am sure that if you use their service you will be as delighted as I am.

Had my patio done by Declan, couldn’t recommend him more. Looking to get him back this year to do another patio area and block pave my drive way. Talked me through the whole job from start to finish, completed the job in good timing. After being messed around by other companies I’d never use anybody again. Great workmanship would definitely recommend!

Quoted us 85k for a 14 week job for a 1 storey extension. We have extra work done sure but this has been inflated. He's had over 105k from us, now at 34 weeks. Asking for 4k more. Didn't sort building reg certificate I had to. Didn't pay tradesmen work for months, went on holiday 3 times during (Jamaica, Egypt and God knows where). Won't confirm who the warranty lies with. Paid him £3k extra for a patio base which was done as a bodge job, ended up having to rip it up and got it done by someone else for 1k. He used waterproof membrane which created a swamp. Got lots of photographs of the promised 10cm hardcore being 1cm. Do not trust, contact me and I will show you all you need to avoid him. Moving towards court...

Travis has completed several joinery projects in one property. Creating a wardrobe/cupboard over a stair head in a bedroom, creating a media wall in the lounge and fitting a fully integral kitchen. Corey is under police investigation for Harassment and stealing. I hired him to build a conservatory. I paid him a deposit £1720 and £4000 on the first day of work. After that he constantly started asking for extra money. Finally in 3 and half months my conservatory was completed. But the roof was done very badly: without lead, rivets, dry verges and tiles were in disorder. It leaked every where. He refused to fix it and told me to hire somebody else to fix it. So I took off £600 from the last payment to find someone to redo the roof. One week later instead of to come and fix the roof, he stole all glass from my conservatory. So, I ended up with badly leaking roof and no glass. Now Nottinghamshire police has a case about Harassment, because he threaten me and Trading Standards has a case of stolen glass and leaking roof. He told me it is not his first time. He knows how to sneak out from this situation. I would like to worn you if you want to hire him.
