Matt of Pro Build (East) Ltd. was instructed to complete a home extension on my Victorian Mid-Terrace property at the beginning of July 2019. Matt initially replied to my MyBuilder advert promptly, came to view the job within days and could start the next week (in hindsight, probably not a good sign). He started work on the Monday, providing a quotation and an expected completion date of 3-4 weeks later for the complete extension including removal of waste, plastering and external rendering. Throughout the build, Matt's communication was prompt, replying to emails, phone calls and text messages mostly within the same day. Unfortunately, on a number of occasions problems arose with the project and I was frequently to blame for certain aspects, for example it was my fault that the roof could not have slates because the roof was built at a low pitch - however the quote included slates? The quality of workmanship throughout the build was very varied, requiring Matt and his team to return a number of times to re-do work which was deemed unsatisfactory by me, other workmen and the building inspector. There is quite often a number of excuses for why work has not been done, or why it has been done to a low standard as opposed to correcting the issue without argument. In the end, the whole build took 14 weeks to complete and remained to have a number of snagging issues, I would not personally recommend this company for larger works such as this.

Conversions - General- 9 Feb 2020
David and his team have been absolutely exceptional. Our conversion ended up being a much bigger job due to woodworm and the whole roof had to be removed and rebuilt from scratch. The team have nearly finished and the quality of their work has been outstanding and very reasonably priced. The team have worked long hours and every aspect has been of an extremely high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend this local company to anyone and we would definitely use them again.

Graham is a knowledgeable, honest, conscientious and thoroughly nice bloke. I chose him because I could tell immediately I could trust him implicitly with my project and my home. I am delighted with my new extension, kitchen and my bathroom which harbours my Japanese soaking tub. Graham allowed me to follow my vision even though he may not have been entirely convinced about my metre wide bathroom! He offered advice throughout the process and explained things very clearly. His son Nathan is equally as brilliant and is learning from the best. The skilled people Graham uses for his jobs are all masters in their own profession and very friendly. After 4 months I miss seeing them all! My job was a big one including load bearing wall removal, chimney breast removal and a side return extension. I have 7 steels in place which are huge but Graham got on with the job in hand and produced what I have now, my beautiful new home. He fitted my navy kitchen which went perfectly (despite issues with wickes) and my bathroom with the tub. He built oak steps up to my bath which are a real feature in such a tiny space. He is a master carpenter afterall! I truly would not hesitate to use Graham again. In fact he will be building my book cases and my stable door this year. I am relieved to have had such a positive experience during what could have been a stressful time and I have Graham to thank for being so fantastic at his job, for managing the project and for putting up with me!

I have used LKK Builders on two of my projects, and I couldn’t be happier with their work. The most recent one was a full three-bedroom house refurbishment, which included fitting a brand new kitchen, installing a new bathroom, complete rewiring, replastering and painting the entire house, and laying new flooring and carpets throughout. LKK Builders got everything sorted, including arranging the electrician for the full house rewiring and a gas safety engineer to check all gas appliances and service the boiler. All materials were on site on time, and there were absolutely no delays. Communication was always quick and clear, and the team were very professional and friendly throughout. Steve and the guys arrived promptly having picked up initial materials required. They worked professionally-collected all other materials to complete job plus some extras that we discussed earlier. I was quoted two days for job. At the end of day one job was completed . Excellent work from JKL. Very happy with result and will certainly use JKL in future .

We was recommended Tom and rob from be you build Ltd buy a work colleague Who had their extension built by Tom and the Team. The guys come out and see us at the property and went over our plans and put together a competitive price from start to finish. The Team was great to deal with and come across extremely knowledgeable. They managed to get us booked in within four weeks turned up when they said they would a team of 3 delightful gentlemen done the works they protected all of our furniture helped move stuff out of the way and sheeted everywhere up properly the works took one week as the company had explained. Everything was done professionally to a high stranded with minimal disruption to home life. Can’t fault the Team nor the finish of the job. I hired SBS to build my utility room extension and new rear patio as they were local builders and their estimate was by far the most detailed that I received and very competitive. Before work began, construction and payment schedules were agreed with Lee and my designer so that the whole process began on time and was largely completed on time (8 weeks) and to estimate (other than extras I requested during construction). The finish is excellent, not surprising as all the subcontractors were established local tradesman. Lee and Aaron were great to work with, kept me informed on progress and importantly, I was able to leave them in charge when away. Can fully recommend SBS for other jobs.

We had a new fence and part of the front garden concreted and the other part slabbed. Everything was done to a excellent standard and even when the weather was bad they still kept working hard.
