If you need a builder please look NO FURTHER than Daniel Building Solutions. An “OUTSTANDING” company, the professionalism, the detail, the seriousness of Jimmy and team is beyond what I can describe. Having rebuilt an entire cottage, Jimmy came on phase two, he provided me with advice then when he started the job, I was shocked by the speed and the accuracy and the attention to detail of his work. As a qualified 360 degrees tradesman, Jimmy is very knowledgeable on electrical, plumbing, constructions, building regulations. I felt he had fallen from the sky. Most of all Jimmy is truly a JENUINE tradesman and not like the 99% cowboys we have around. Unlikely I will ever have someone else, outside DBS in future to do any work, because it will not match Jimmy’s’ standards. Ros Pollio

Conversions - General- 24 Jul 2025
Wesley and team did a fair job, however we felt like corners were cut or jobs were not completed to a high standard. During the build we had issues that arose such as a leak in the wall from plumbing and we had asked for an extra for a radiator to be replaced upstairs- the guy that was used for this was miserable and also caused a leak in the heating system. Also when levelling the floor this was done over several days and ended up being very un-level which he did have to come back and correct. We had doors installed which are sub par at best- avoid using his carpenter! The worst part of the situation was our French doors which were “new” however installed terribly- not level and gritty to open. At first when called back, Wesley seemed to want to help to solve the situation, but after 4 months of chasing he came to take a broken part of the door away to be replaced and has now gone silent. So now looking at having to pay more money to solve the problems from the build.

I reduced the scope from the initially agreed scope. However i paid for the scope they had done. Work was not great. They replaced a light fitting that they broke but later i found other things that were damaged. They are courteous, polite, and easy to deal with, but require more attention to detail.

Ed and his team consisting of the Project Manager, 2no. General Builders and a Plasterer. Were all faultless in their workmanship and mannerisms. Turning up as planned and completing the exercise with in the timescale laid down. Removal of the existing conservatory roof, replace with a solid tiled roof. Fixing an internal stud wall. Plastering new stud wall partitioning and inner roof lining. Fixing a new French door & cassette. Their professionalism was first class always. We are very happy with the end result and would not hesitate in using them again should the occasion arise.

At the outset, Harry and his partner are good people. However, the job was not completed to a professional standard. Grout has started coming off from between the tiles leaving gaps that water can pass through, the door hinge was not properly fitted leaving a door that will not close, the radiator pipe clips were not fitted, tile trims are not flush with rest of the wall, shelves were fitted on top of old broken wood. And the worst part is that Harry did not turn up even after confirming a date to come back and fix the missing parts. I paid him extra for all the additional jobs, even though certain items from the contract were not done ( for e.g. replacing the bathtub panel ). They have multiple jobs ongoing at the same time and struggles to stick to schedule. If you get them I would advise not paying everything upfront and making sure contract is signed only after it is made sure that they would stick to schedule. I struggled to get them to commit to a date and stick to it.

I had my bathroom fully tiled and refurbished by Mr Madan and it was done with patience and professionalism. My house is 1930s build and it comes with its own challenges when doing a project, but Mr Madan dealt with every challenge, whilst keeping my costs down. I'm 100% happy with the end result and I will highly recommend him.

He was good when doing the job, and workmanship was very good, I cannot complain about that. I think what let down the entirety is aftercare & integrity of the builder. The fact we had given him multiple jobs in our house not just this one, and the first big issue we had within the first 2/3 months where our electrics stopped working in the bathroom for him to refuse to come unless I paid him £80? People usually give warranty with work and he claimed he doesn’t give more then a month which I find concerning especially with plumbing work, imagine a small leak getting worse over time before finding out. Luckily I had building insurance so when an electrician came out he said the builder had not tightened the pull switch which came loose, and I’d have had to pay to just tighten a switch. Now he’s blocked me on what’s app & for me that’s concerning and very unprofessional
