I found Craig to be a great bloke from start to finish. Turned up promptly to look at and quote for the job and was early on both days when working on it. His workmanship and quality is first rate and the attention to detail is fantastic. He is very tidy as he works, cleaning as he goes. Would recommend Craig and have no hesitation in using him again.

AVOID!!! Do not use this ‘builder’ Started off with his public liability insurance being 5 months out of date. Questioned this and he said he ‘didn’t realise’ and then renewed it Used all of my partners things, even though we had things covered over and folded away. If things are under a cover they are there for a reason! Mixed plaster up in one of our buckets! Continuous promises were made for things and then weren’t carried out. I understand jobs sometimes don’t go to plan but 2 jobs were supposed to take 2 weeks. A MONTH later neither jobs are complete! Absolutely ZERO communication about whether he was going to turn up or not! Left our house an absolute mess. Clearly has absolutely no respect for our property at all other wise there wouldn’t be chunks out of door frames and walls, our clothes rail wouldn’t be smashed in pieces and you wouldn’t be throwing bricks out of a top floor window when there is a car directly under neath on the drive! Oh and it’s funny that he hasn’t turned up all week, but because of the stress he’s put us through over the last month we made the decision to tell him not to return last night. No response to the message. But turned up today to collect a few things he left at the house! Funny that you haven’t turned up all week to do the work but will turn up straight after we’ve told you not to come back! It’s a relief knowing that he’s not coming back to our house that we have worked hard to buy as young first time buyers!

Absolute Disaster - Avoid This Rogue Builder At All Costs! I have never encountered such an incompetent rogue builder in my life. What was promised as a 2-week build turned into a 3-month nightmare, and the project is still an absolute disaster. The quality of work is shocking: Structural Issues: They fitted the completely wrong glass doors, meaning we cannot even access the building. Zero Insulation: No insulation was installed under any part of the floor. Damaged Flooring: The floorboards are already lifting and coming up. Terrible Finishing: The interior plastering is incredibly poor and messy. Severe Water Damage: The damp-proof course was simply cut off and left exposed under the decking. Every time it rains, it turns into a swimming pool underneath the structure. To make matters worse, the owner completely disappeared once things went wrong. When you finally catch up with him, he resorts to extreme verbal abuse rather than fixing his mistakes.

We used a previous tradesman off my builder before hand and he made the job worse my doors wouldnt shut. I contacted Phi Carpentry and he came to resolve the matter. I am 100 percent happy. He listened to us checked out the remaining doors and resolved our issues. Good price lovely man had alot of knowledge and was clean and tidy and left no mess. I would definitly reccomend. Pretty expensive for a quick job and communication could have been better. We felt we had to fit this in around his schedule with little to no flexibility. Small job or not, we should have been given the same courtesy any customer would expect. Job was done but came at a steep price. Doubtful on repeat business.

Very professional, did a great job plastering wall and ceiling. After we installed new lights we were left with hole in the ceiling which Ben filled - you can't tell where the holes were. We removed a dividing wall which left a big section of ceiling missing. This was very professionally filled and plastered. Very happy with the service and will definitely hire Ben again for any future work!
