Very pleased with our choice. We initially got four quotes from different builders, most of them were terrible at communicating apart from Alfred. He was very easy to work with, responsive and very careful with our brand new house. His team was hard working, tidy and fast. They completely renovated our garden from removal of old decking and gravel to setting up new fences, levelling and turfing the ground. They also removed our old kitchen, partition wall and carpet, as well as did jobs like plastering, building a wall and set up lights and shelves. We’ll surely have him back soon to work on other jobs.

After hiring Petru, it was very clear from the offset of the project that he was a very patient individual with high attention to detail and a good listener. As a individual who pays great attention to detail myself, it was very important to me that I received this same level of service from the person hired to work for me, I was not disappointed with Petru. He listened to all I had to say, answered all questions before and during the project and was not satisfied until I was more than 100% happy with the job that was done. After conversations with Petru it was a much better idea to replace the posts instead of correcting their vertical line as they were not straight along the entirety of the row of posts. He was so meticulous with the work that he also impressed my neighbors, so much so that 2 of them hired him for other works within their homes. This was also the same for me. I rehired Petru to build and complete a patio in the garden with a soak-away. Once again I was very impressed with his attention to detail and charisma whilst completing this project for us. He made sure at every step we were happy with his work and the way the Patio was being shaped and constructed. We only have good things to say about Petru as he went above and beyond my expectations. He worked rain or shine and always had a smile. I'm happy to say that he is my builder going forward for other jobs in the future and I am happy to personally recommend him to anyone else should they require it.

Conversions - General- 3 Sep 2025
Big refurb of 1650 sq ft flat, plus building 2 additional ensuites. Initial quote seemed reasonable but then once in, costs started to rise exponentially. Some work was done well, like the building component and flooring, but finishing was poor. Painting, particularly of internal doors, was done poorly, without removal of fittings first, so lots of overpainting and insufficient prep and coats. Regrouting and redecoration of front and rear patios was done poorly, with weeds already poking through. There was damage to existing bathtubs and WCs by not protecting surfaces and pouring waste materials down the pan. Everything was an argument with constant demands for more money e.g. front door only painted one side as the other side not included under "paint door". Lots of "snagging" - I only have manual on/off control of heating and hot water as "smart" thermostat won't connect, there are odd water pressures through some fixings...and now there's a leak under one of the WCs...

On a cold November evening, Tony and his team turned up to provide a quote and within a week this was received. The quoted price came in the middle of the pile, which was a good start and aligned closely to the ballpark figure I'd received from a friend who was also in the trade. We then visited a site they were finishing off, and Tony had the confidence to ask us to speak to the client without him there and they gave us the confidence to proceed. They started in January 2020 and rapidly moved through the works and engaged closely with my architect, Structural engineer and building control and proceeded based on their recommendations strictly. We lived in the property as build progressed and the team ensured that the site was secure every evening and we were safe. As COVID-19 hit and we went into Lockdown, the team continued to come and work (we were separated from them as the house was boarded up) and the only challenge was getting supplies. Tony scoured all over London, picking up items as best as he could and work continued. Once they'd broken through into the old part of the house they continued to progress rapidly and showed utter professionalism. The team lead's attention to detail is impressive, and he gave great recommendations on what would be the right approach when we were laying out features such as window sizing and lighting. The standard of work is excellent and I would highly recommend them.

We recently had our bathroom refurbished by Cubitt Wren in London, and we couldn't be happier with the result. From start to finish, they were reliable, professional, and always turned up when they said they would. The work was completed quickly without compromising on quality, and the whole team was polite and respectful throughout. Communication was excellent the entire way through. They kept us updated at every stage, answered any questions we had, and made the whole process stress-free. The finished bathroom looks fantastic, and it's clear they take real pride in their work. The old porch was demolished with waste disposal as agreed and new porch built with flooring, window and door meeting expectations. Claine has been clear, helpful, knowledgeable and communicative and gave good advice. He had all the tools and equipment and delivered as discussed. Happy to have hired Claine and his company. Now awaiting his return to jet wash the red plaster remnants off my front garden as he gave his word on. I’d recommend him and his work to others.

Highly recommended. Parkway Maintenance and Construction did an excellent job on my kitchen refit. Steve provided a thorough and detailed options, plans and quotes. He did exacty what he said he wouldconsulting me throughout as work progressed. The work has been completed to a high standard and he site left spotlessly clean and tidy.
