Sean did a full refurbishment on our house. He is the most organised and customer friendly builder I have ever used. From start to finish there was a plan of action and then a great group of qualified tradesman to execute. Like every refurbishment, we asked for changes and he always made us feel like the extras were no problem. I have no hesitation in recommending CG Carpentry. They are now our go to builders and in our next move he will be the first person I call.

Restoration & Refurbishment- 17 Nov 2015
This is the second time I have used Kalin and his team. Its misleading to call him a handyman or decorator as he can do much more. He renovated a 130 year old Victorian terrace for me. He carried out a lot of structural work including: constructing two arches to make the ground floor open plan, moving two walls upstairs to adjust the layout and building a new staircase from scratch to suit the awkward dimensions of the house. Also one of the quickest and neatest plasterers I have ever used - his work on a previous job has held up well - no cracks or patches after a couple of months etc. All this aside, the main reason I will use him again is because he is easy going and pleasant to have around. Something which I valued during many stressful moments on site. Happy to be contacted on 07747309465 if you need anymore details

Extensions- 9 Oct 2022
We engaged NB Building Services to build an extension (new garage and room at the rear) and extensively refurbish/remodel a bungalow. I met a number of builders/building contractors but I felt immediately comfortable with Nick right from the start. It was the first time we were ever starting such a project and we wanted to follow our instinct and go with someone we could be comfortable with over the duration of the project. Right from the start Nick came across as someone who is genuine and who looks to understand your requirements. Also, as my project had a few uncertainties that could affect the scope of the project I was looking for some flexibility and I felt that Nick and his team could provide that. Nick and his team (Stefan, Boris and Ilco) work very well together as a cohesive team. Nick provided a day-to-day customer contact while scheduling tasks on the building site and coordinating material deliveries. Every member of the team worked a full day and on occasions where it was important to finish something on the day, they would stay late to finish the job. What impressed me most when the work started is that the entire team is multiskilled – they do everything from bricklaying, timberwork, roofing, plaster/skimming etc. This helped me immensely when there were minor changes or modifications. That meant we didn’t have to wait for the bricklayer or plasterer to return to the site again. Nick also operated the heavy machinery like digger/breaker etc. Once the initial structure was complete the team again impressed me with their attention to detail when they moved inside to lay down plumbing, electrical wires, gas pipes etc. Nick and Stefan took the lead on the fine finishing tasks inside while Boris and Ilco provided important support and completed a lot of other tasks inside and out. It was during this critical phase when communication is most important that I appreciated Nick’s effort to keep us informed. As far as quality of work is concerned while we were happy with everything, I think the tiling work of both Nick and Stefan is outstanding. Our project lasted for about 8 months and while there were lots of discussions on areas of the project that I did not understand and I asked a lot of questions and also changed my mind on some things I don’t remember I we ever even had a minor argument. This I felt was an important win. Nick was also generous with his time and provided help to other trades who came on site e.g. window fitters, garage door installers; boiler installers; electricians etc. Nick and his team returned a few months later to lay down a patio with porcelain tiles for us and also a driveway with block paving. Once again Nick and his team discussed with us in detail what we wanted and provided suggestions based on their experience.

Summary Work standard- high class (building work) Electrical work high class commitment- Richard great, his team -OK time line- 2 month delay( we had Christmas in between ) was committed end of Nov 2022, its officially finished mid if Feb 2023. Follow up- Multiple times, I am still following up for my house keys as I shared one set with him!! Overall - pick Zking if you have time. Price-aptly priced. I think like every builder when things almost come to finish few bits needed followed up However barring few 3rd party dependent bits like gas safety cert etc weren't done so, anything in Richards remit was done to perfection anything 3rd party you keep waiting!! I can hire again as he is a genuine chap. Regards

Restoration & Refurbishment- 28 Dec 2015
I did quite a bit of research before choosing Battersea Builders. They didn’t come in with the cheapest quote but I never base my choice on price alone. And it wasn’t miles above the other quotes I got. Instead, I chose them because they ticked a lot of boxes including a) good independent reviews, b) a dedicated PM, c) qualifications, d) quick responses, e) a decent website etc. Overall, they did a fantastic job. The quality of the work and finish is really good. The PM, Tommy, was really helpful throughout and the team was very polite and conscientious. They were also on site every day as promised and didn’t play that old builders trick of getting the job and then going offsite to secure another job elsewhere (resulting in the deadline being missed). Was it perfect? No, but then not many projects are. I have a few minor comments including the fact there was a misunderstanding about the quality of bathroom cupboard I needed so the original quote was insufficient and costs had to be increased half way through the project. Despite this issue, Tommy did his best to keep the extra costs down. One other niggle was that I asked them to keep all the manuals and instructions for all the fittings but they threw them out. Not a big deal but quite annoying. Overall, it wasn’t cheap but I would use them again because the work was done to a high standard and the team were a pleasure to work with.

Very pleased with the work Jimmy & his brickies done on my extension. At short notice & on a tight time scale Jim & his team pulled it out the bag (a man down from planned as well) for a decent price. Not scared of grafting & would recommend to others, I expect to be putting more work his way in the future.

Repointing- 1 Oct 2018
I manage a considerable portfolio of property and deal with contractors on a daily basis. I can't recommend Chris highly enough. He was straightforward to deal with from the start. He priced fairly, did exactly what he said he'd do (and more) and cleared up after himself everyday. When he'd finished the site was spotless and the job more than satisfactory. Well done and thanks.
