We have hired Dan and Raf (D&R henceforth) for the renovation of our newly purchased Victorian terraced house. We solicited a few quotes from different companies and decided on proceeding with D&R as the quote was not only one of the most competitive in terms of price but also very detailed and straightforward in terms of the material and labour costs for the different parts of the work. D&R (together with their team workers) have done a complete top-to-bottom renovation of the property, including re-wiring, some structural work (removal of two load-bearing walls), installation of new wooden floors, tiling and installation of new kitchen and bathroom, fitting of new internal and external doors, some carpentry work. By the end of the work the total cost of the renovation work did not deviate significantly from the quote we had initially been given. Also the works were concluded largely within the deadline agreed preceding the works (11 weeks instead of 10 for a complete renovation). D&R have been particularly helpful in providing suggestions throughout the project, and they were often in contact with us to ensure that the renovation was in line with our preference. The scope of work has changed a few times throughout the course of the project, and D&R have always been able to accommodate our requests. Overall, we are extremely happy with the overall results and we would highly recommend D&R’s services.

Conversions - General- 21 Jul 2023
We needed the dividing wall between our living / dining room removed and then replastered before our floor sanding took place, so timing (as well as quality) was very important to us. Rob promptly got in touch soon after I posted the ad and visited the property a few days later for an inspection and to talk us through the process. A week later the job has now been completed to an exceptional standard with plenty of time to spare. They were also well organised and did a great job minimising the mess that comes with removing a wall. As per the previous reviewer I don't usually hire tradesmen when there is only limited feedback, but given the glowing report I took the risk. And it proved to be a great decision. Astrit was great - clear communication, arrived when he said he would, sought our opinions on the key decisions and gave some great advice, before ultimately doing a great job for a reasonable price. Prices not the most accountable or transparent. 1 hours work £723.60 to clear simple drain. It was done well, but I was expecting around £250-400 tops for this so was a bit shocked with the final cost. When I questioned the cost resultant conversation became loud and affected running of my business to the point we had to give discounts in apology to current customers. Note; prices quoted are by half hour, include VAT and do not include additional including waste removal or surveys. 2 people arrive so double any quote given from the outset. Easy to feel overcharged, especially when surveys come back negative, cost £00s and are done in minutes- or quoted cost "includes all manual means of clearance" but then have to pay extra for clearance of waste.

TLC have completed the first phase of the project which has involved a complete renovation and upgrade of the kitchen, bathroom, and rear garden area. A new contemporary staircase has also been fitted. The work has been completed well ahead of schedule, and this is testament to the planning and coordination skills provided by TLC. All of the work has been completed to a very high standard, and a great deal of care has been taken to ensure the minimum disruption to the local residents. We are extremely grateful for the advice and support provided to us leading up to the restoration work and whilst the restoration was underway, and we are absolutely delighted with the final results. Our house has been transformed into a contemporary family home. Many thanks to Bradley, Paul, and the rest of the team at TLC.

Peter was the on-site foreman on our complete house renovation, which took just over a year. This included an additional ensuite pod bedroom in the roof and a side-return and extension to the kitchen. Peter was totally reliable throughout the project and thoroughly professional. Throughout this time we were living in the house with the children. He was always on time, managed the on-site team well and communicated clearly with us. His workmanship is high quality and he was also a stickler for checking the work of others and getting it updated if it wasn’t up to scratch. I have no hesitation in recommending Peter.
