A hard working team who take pride, and care about doing a good job however long it takes (not a rushed 'get in & out' blitz). I had a driveway and path block paved, and new brick walls. Great work, for a fair price. Charlie is very quick to respond to messages too.

Restoration & Refurbishment- 26 May 2026
Disappointing, I chose Jason as I was expecting a professional finish to restore the bay and redecorate the stone work. The main fissure was repaired but the moulding of a small missing feature was clumsy and there was insufficient prep work to the stone work and the paint failed in some areas, almost immediately. Jason did not tackle the masticing, albeit he did mention it mid job, it would have been preferable to say so, before quoting as this was left to ourselves to organise, strip out and replace. Jason had returned after some chasing but the result is far off our expectations. I have a second property same frontage in same street that needed some repair work, I chose another contractor.

Flamur did a great job on repairing, plastering and painting our damaged walls and ceilings. He also matched and replaced a wooden ledge which was damaged. He was very responsive, knew exactly what was needed to make a perfect finish and completed the works in a timely manner to a very high professional standard. He also helped source materials that we needed. We were very pleased with the outcome and would use him again. We couldn't recommend him highly enough.

We received quotes for new windows and external doors from 2 tradesmen and elected to proceed with Dowsing Home Improvements for several reasons. First and foremost, while the quotes were similar, Dowsing offered the most competitive of the two. Additionally we found Mitch to be extremely knowledgeable, competent and approachable, he put us under no pressure and gave us no 'sales pitch'. He is an honest and genuine tradesman which are hard to come by. Our project was not straightforward as we had builders on site. Nevertheless, Mitch worked in what was often challenging circumstances with limited access and space to install the windows and doors. The windows and doors are immaculate, we are so impressed by the quality of the product and the fit. We immediately recommended Mitch to a friend who also appointed Mitch and she is equally pleased with her new windows. I cannot recommend Mitch highly enough and I will certainly be in touch with Mitch again when I inevitably purchase my next renovation job!

Absolutely delighted with our new canopy porch. Matt and his colleague were thorough, organised, friendly and very professional workers. Work was completed to a very high standard and exactly as wanted. Everything left clear and tidy and communication was excellent throughout. Have asked for quotes for two other jobs already. Johnny was very nice to deal with. When there were problems they were quick to find ways to rectify them. They started at short notice& finished on time which I was very impressive. We got a no. of quotes,Johnny was middle of the range but with a better level of service than others. Johnny was very open about when things might cost more &gave us the option if we wanted to proceed. A few things to note: -this was our 1st experience of any building work &we should have remembered they are builders, not designers -we both work long hours &so most days didn't see the team to get an update or brief them. This meant a few things were missed or miscommunicated - while most of the team were lovely the electrician used was horrible to deal with. He got very cross about requested changes, didn't deliver everything requested &just did silly things like putting in a light switch with 2buttons where there was only one Light or hanging lights incredibly low when we had given measurements of where we wanted them - we got Johnny's team to build some extra storage for us which on the whole was fine but some things weren't centred or for example the wine rack they built was wonky Overall, it was a good experience and we would recommend them but would suggest be home to oversee the work more than once a week (must be true of any building work!) and get your own electrician. Very happy to talk to people and give references-the house looks great now.

Peter completed an excellent job on my bathroom. He gave good sound advice, was proactive in making adjustments for the unexpected and even arranged an emergency plumbing repair when the unexpected emerged from behind a wall. Peter kept good time and was helpful with advice on materials. No hesitation in giving him my recommendations.
