Ben worked on a single storey extension at our property between August 2023 and January 2024. Despite several complications, including access issues for machinery due to the location of our property, nothing seemed to phase Ben and he always found a way to make things happen, where other builders had been put off. He kept us regularly updated with weekly progress reports, setting out what work had been completed and the schedule for the coming days and weeks, which we found really helpful. Having never had any building work done everything was new to us but Ben instantly put at as ease and we knew we were in safe hands! Ben also explained any changes he needed to make and was happy to talk through the different options available, always explaining things clearly so we could understand. Payments were also clearly set out so we knew what we were being charged for and when. Ben and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were always polite and courteous and very tidy, making sure the site was cleaned up and left clear of safety hazards at the end of each day. In terms of communication, Ben was always very quick to answer messages and come back with the answer to any queries we had. The team arrived punctually on site each day and we were always updated if there were any changes to their working pattern. Ben was also very considerate to our neighbours when he needed access to their garden in order to complete the work. Our extension was completed to a very high standard and we are extremely happy with it. I would not hesitate to recommend Ben and the CRD team to anyone undertaking a building project.

Jack did a great job. One of the nicest and most professional carpenters I've ever had. He showed up promptly with all the right tools for the job including a Festool dust extractor and cleaned up meticulously as he went. He cut my doors without damaging the paint work, and sanded them. I was so impressed by his work that I asked him to come back and replace some door knobs and old window catches, which he removed and filled to be as good as new. Highly recommend - great work ethic and a true professional.

Tom presented a very reasonable but competitive quote and we hired him to build a storm porch (half stone, with oak joinery) for the front of our house. We are delighted with the outcome of the work, which is constructed to a very high standard (stonework wall, reclaimed tile double-hipped roof, concrete slab/step, and oak frame). Tom and his colleagues were very friendly and polite, consulted us at every decision point, and always responded to questions. Particularly important for us, they always turned up when they'd arranged to do so and informed us if they were going to be delayed. They also left the site clean and tidy promptly following the completion of the work. I would recommend Tom highly and would be very happy to engage him again.

I have been fortunate enough to have selected the absolute best building contractor for my extension!! The West Country Home Company Ltd. are a fantastic group. Professional, highly experienced and simply a great team. My extension was built on schedule and to cost. Exceptional standard which exceeded all expectation. I can only provide positive comments about Steve (owner) and his team. Steve discussed all elements of my build throughout. Communication was excellent. Steve is very knowledgeable and experienced. Deborah (Joint owner / Office Manager) has been fantastic with explaining all documents and providing detailed information. My build consisted of a full rear extension, complete with french doors, patio doors and velux windows. Full bespoke kitchen build. Plumbing. Complete patio installation and all associated ground works. Steve and his team conducted all elements of the build. My main reason for selecting The West Country Home Company Ltd. was the track record. Steve and his team have been successfully building extensions for many years and have great positive feedback. We needed a big pile of earth with some rubble mixed in it to be moved into very specific places in our garden as we were making a huge rockery. Luke was very easy going, a quick worker and did a great job for a reasonable price. I would definitely use him again and recommend him.

Stuart and his crew did a great job repairing an old stone wall, despite the wet weather making progress slow, laboured (!) and difficult. The crew on site were friendly, knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and are a real asset to the company. Questions and concerns were handled professionally, courteously and within 24 hours. Would recommend and use again in the future.

Andy did a fabulous job building us a traditional stone wall surrounding our driveway. His advice and help was invaluable from start to finish, from sourcing the materials we needed, providing advice on what needed to be done before the wall could be built and of course him building the wall within the time frame and costs quoted. He came when he said he would come and kept us updated if weather made working outside impossible. We are extremely happy with the outcome and would recommend him to anyone needed a traditional stone wall to be built. On top of the above he is a great and knowledgeable guy who is enjoying his work and communicates very well.
