Extremely Disappinted with Planetium Construction- I hired Planetium for a 59k renovation job. Initially, the workmanship was acceptable only because I supervised closely and had them redo substandard work multiple times. However, before the job has been complete, I discovered already a roof leak in the master bedroom, direcly under the newly renovated bathroom. Despite my repeated requests, Planetium refused to take responsiblity or fix the issue. Just telling me need additional charges for the work. Worst still, Adrian the owner, demanded I pay the final balance of 1840 before they would address the GF heating which stopped working after they installed the new controller. When I reasonably refused to pay before they complete the job , Adrian swore at me over the phone the most offensive language. Furthermore, they promised to replace a new Miele microwave for the one they damaged during installation but now just walked away. Leaving me unresolved issues and additional repair cost!

Ricky Reid I was looking for a company who could help me with a light refurbishment (kitchen, bathroom and full decoration) of a one bedroom flat in south west London to be ready for rental within 15 days. I posted my ad request on mybuilder.com and a few companies contacted me. Ricky Reid, was the third one I met and eventually the one I chose. Why? R. was straight forward, no gimmicks and did his best to understand what my needs were from day one. Especially when my vision at the start wasn’t that clear. Him and his team delivered within the time frame agreed as well as within the quote given plus a few extras that hadn’t been considered at the start of the project. He was always available for questions or clarifications needed over the phone at any time! A rare quality in itself in the building world. If there was anything that could be improved, this would be clarifying certain jobs that were on the quote (and I mean specifically what they exactly covered) from the start to avoid stingy or unexpected surprises cost wise. However this isn’t Ricky’s fault and I take my full responsibility as I should have done my homework before hand. Overall satisfied with the result and I would certainly contact Ricky and his team for my next future projects and so should you reading this review. We choose Surrey Build & Maintain because we felt like Dan and the team really listened to our vision for the extension and shared the desire to produce something that would be an amazing improvement to our house. As with any build, there were many hurdles to overcome. Dan and the team were always there on hand to deal with challenges and overcome them in a professional and experienced fashion. We really felt that Dan was on our side and was able to find numerous ways to improve the project as well as saving money by assisting to redesign the structural plans as they were unnecessarily overzealous. The team was punctual and hard-working, often working on weekends to increase the rate of construction. We stayed at the house during the build and Dan made every effort to make the impact on us as minimal as possible, laying dust sheets, cleaning up each day and keeping a temporary kitchen available to us during the project. We took advice on key features like doors and windows from Dan during the build and absolutely loved his design input. The end result is fantastic and we barely use any other room in the house! Since Dan began the kitchen extension we have also employed Surrey Build to overhaul our bathroom as well. Highly recommended!

I could not praise Darek enough for his standard of work, punctuality, professionalism and respect. We hired him in Jan 2018 for the complete renovation of a 4 bedroom house, garden and front patio. Not only did he do each aspect of his job to a high standard, his knowledge and advice went a long way in helping to make repairs we had not identified but were much needed. He offers a very reasonable quote and clearly cares about his work. He has excellent time management, commitment, is reliable and trust worthy. I would not hesitate to recommend him!

Highly recommend Kaylum, he ripped out the old sub-floor and fitted a new sub-floor along with new Engineered wood flooring in all of the bedrooms and hallway. Quality of work and attention to detail was exceptional. His colleague then decorated all the rooms beautifully once the floor was installed - really happy with the end result.

This is the second time I have used Kalin and his team. Its misleading to call him a handyman or decorator as he can do much more. He renovated a 130 year old Victorian terrace for me. He carried out a lot of structural work including: constructing two arches to make the ground floor open plan, moving two walls upstairs to adjust the layout and building a new staircase from scratch to suit the awkward dimensions of the house. Also one of the quickest and neatest plasterers I have ever used - his work on a previous job has held up well - no cracks or patches after a couple of months etc. All this aside, the main reason I will use him again is because he is easy going and pleasant to have around.
