I sent Kirk a long list of questions which he answered promptly and honestly, his workmanship was of a high standard and he worked to timescales. Kirk turned up on time and he always made sure the site was clean and tidy before he left. On completion, he asked me to inspect his work. I was very happy with the end result and would highly recommend Kirk and his team.

After all the cowboys and deputy's we have had in the past we've finally found our sheriff. Liam has just completed a full refurbishment on our bathroom 2 weeks ago. Carl undertook the creation of a new classroom and improvements to existing cloakroom toilets. This included plumbing, flooring and redecoration. He also project managed the other trades in the process. Totally reliable and trustworthy and fully compliant with Safe Guarding practices in a school environment. Did some great work initially - particularly Gordy - but too argumentative and slow around matters arising within warranty. Refused to deal with a leak to the Store Room, rushed / made errors in the installation of downspouts and didn’t level our garden as per our contract. Mick was the builder / built the store room to the side of the extension. Not sure what he means (below) by ‘fell out with the builder’ - seems to be talking about himself in the third person here… Took forever to have the flooring (Indian Store) issues resolved, but did the right thing eventually. As ever, all very convoluted and over stressful with Mick. A good builder, just needs to argue less and resolve things that aren’t up to scratch.

Conversions - General- 7 May 2019
Myles and Mike have done a fantastic job creating my new ceiling which incl plastering and lighting, and the other jobs i asked them to do - transforming our dated staircase with modern spindles and hand rail, making and fitting a cupboard over the boiler, and some much needed plastering in one of the bedrooms. Very friendly and hardworking guys. I've asked them to do another job in couple of weeks (removing blown plaster off wall and re-plastering). Very reasonable prices for all the work. I would not hesitate to recommend these two guys, and as i have a few more renovations to do, i will definitely be asking them to do the work.

I had a good initial contact and they came out to do a first look pretty quickly. Wanted quoting on an extension, porch, driveway and side wall. In the end none of these jobs happened. A good experience to begin with. Porch - needed an architect (recommended by the builder), which took a couple of weeks to come and look then a few more weeks to get the drawings back to me. In the end, was too complex/costly due to the roofline. Fair enough - but took way too long to get to that answer. Extension - Initial 'rough' quote was very reasonable, but getting them to actually do a costed up quote took many weeks. In the end, the quote was >50% higher than the rough quote (scope of work hadn't changed). Driveway - Visited 4 times for this job. On 2 occasions, just didn't show up and couldn't get hold of them by phone. All of a sudden they came back 'online' and after 2 more visits, a quote came which was more than x2 the original rough quote. I appreciate cost of materials has increased but double was just too much. Side wall - Based on the other jobs being so difficult to progress, we decided to get someone else to sort it => 2 weeks after enquiry, the wall was built. In the end, we lost months for nothing and decided to not bother with 3/4 jobs. It's a shame, because they seem like a good bunch of lads and their references/pictures look great, but clearly have either too much work or need to hire someone to manage their time better.
