We hired Stone cbm to build our rear extension in Feb 2016 and the job finished on time in April. If there were a best builder award, the winner would be Jas. He is not your typical builder; his communication and execution skills are second to none. He listened to all our requirements like a friend and provide solutions like a pro. We are pleased with the finish. The project is just about on budget and on time, and could have been finished earlier if not for the other tradsman we called in to do other work causing delays. We had all sorts of problems with all the other tradesman and Jas was always there to give us a helping hand. In hindsight, we should have hired jas to do our other work as well as the extension to reduce all the stress. Project managing is much tougher then we thought especially when most of the tradesman out there simply do not care about their reputation at all (even the ones with many good reviews on mybuilder). Jas on the other hand is extremely organized and highly reliable. We would recommend Jas and his team wholeheartedly to anyone and looking forward to working with him again for our next project.

Complete waste of time. Hired this tradesman a few months ago, to work on a simple brick BBQ. We had a conversation in person about the job and i informed him i would be supplying the bricks as they are "reclaimed". On the day they were to start the job, he turned up and said "oh" where are the materials, which was concerning. I had to explain our conversation in detail to point out that i said i was supplying the brick as they were reclaimed, no mention of any other material. I had just completed a huge renovation project and this was one of the final contractors to be used. Unfortunately this person is very amateur, and he then made me pay £500 for materials to be delivered. I paid for the materials and the new start date he suggested wasnt suitable, he then said he longer wanted the job! Can you believe it, he made me pay for all the materials, even though that was not agreed in person. I have dealt with over 12 different teams working on this project, and this one is the worst. No care in the word, he even sent a text said he was "quaking in his pants" about a bad review. I just replied saying, that sums everything up - totally unprofessional. Move on.

After hiring Petru, it was very clear from the offset of the project that he was a very patient individual with high attention to detail and a good listener. As a individual who pays great attention to detail myself, it was very important to me that I received this same level of service from the person hired to work for me, I was not disappointed with Petru. He listened to all I had to say, answered all questions before and during the project and was not satisfied until I was more than 100% happy with the job that was done. After conversations with Petru it was a much better idea to replace the posts instead of correcting their vertical line as they were not straight along the entirety of the row of posts. He was so meticulous with the work that he also impressed my neighbors, so much so that 2 of them hired him for other works within their homes. This was also the same for me. I rehired Petru to build and complete a patio in the garden with a soak-away. Once again I was very impressed with his attention to detail and charisma whilst completing this project for us. He made sure at every step we were happy with his work and the way the Patio was being shaped and constructed. We only have good things to say about Petru as he went above and beyond my expectations. He worked rain or shine and always had a smile. I'm happy to say that he is my builder going forward for other jobs in the future and I am happy to personally recommend him to anyone else should they require it.

Hammer de silva provided a garage conversion quote and literally contacted every day saying he needed the job. After getting the job , I told him we need to go through building control to make sure everything is done in properly. There was about 2- 3 week delay because of building control . This guy keep taking multiple jobs and it’s more than one year and he’s still not finished with the job. He’s only done half of the job and keep coming up with excuses, he told us his wife being severely ill, his daughter being pregnant and needed help with delivery, other financial problems and endless excuses. In between he increased the price of job and took more money from us. He takes money spends it and doesn’t come back to work saying he doesn’t have money and need to find another job as well. Because of his careless work, I couldn’t use my utility room, decking area properly for over a year now costing so much stress and grief, might have to seek legal action if not finished in 2,3 weeks

Steve came to us, after my girlfriend posted a job asking for someone to paint and decorate our 2 bedroom house, so that we could put it up for sale later that week. We had a few quotes, but Steve's was the most realistic, considering our modest budget and limited timescale. Steve and his team were always on time, very conscientious and incredibly industrious. They were there for 3 days, from 9 to 5 and worked non stop to get the job done. In this time he managed to paint the walls and woodwork in every room, fill and sand cracks, replace and fit 4 doors, fit 7 sets of door handles, 2 window handles, replace a bath panel and lay 20 sqm of laminate flooring throughout our ground floor. When they finished, the house was transformed. We had carpet laid the following day and the estate agent took pictures not long after. Within less than a week of our home being listed, we received an offer. This would not have been possible without the work Steve and the boys did so quickly and so well. So we would happily hire Steve again for all our painting and decorating needs. He's punctual, friendly, hard working and reasonable when it comes to costing. Highly recommend.
