Ricky Reid I was looking for a company who could help me with a light refurbishment (kitchen, bathroom and full decoration) of a one bedroom flat in south west London to be ready for rental within 15 days. I posted my ad request on mybuilder.com and a few companies contacted me. Ricky Reid, was the third one I met and eventually the one I chose. Why? R. was straight forward, no gimmicks and did his best to understand what my needs were from day one. Especially when my vision at the start wasn’t that clear. Him and his team delivered within the time frame agreed as well as within the quote given plus a few extras that hadn’t been considered at the start of the project. He was always available for questions or clarifications needed over the phone at any time! A rare quality in itself in the building world. If there was anything that could be improved, this would be clarifying certain jobs that were on the quote (and I mean specifically what they exactly covered) from the start to avoid stingy or unexpected surprises cost wise. However this isn’t Ricky’s fault and I take my full responsibility as I should have done my homework before hand. Overall satisfied with the result and I would certainly contact Ricky and his team for my next future projects and so should you reading this review. We hired this builder for a 2-metre rear extension and a very large garage extension and we’re really happy with the result. The project needed a pile foundation which is a bit more complicated, but they handled everything very professionally. They listened to what we wanted and kept us informed at every stage, which really helped as we were living in the house while the work was being done. The team were friendly, easy to deal with and worked to a good standard. Overall a very good experience and we would happily recommend them.

The original job for a bathroom renovation turned into a much bigger job. Raphael and his team ended up helping design and renovate the bathroom, bedroom, living room and hallway. The team helped us source all the materials including underfloor heating and an incredibly intricate mosaic tiled floor in the hallway. They provided practical advise about what was best for the space, what would work within our budget and what would be easy to live with. For example, the team installed underfloor heating in the living room using wood effect herringbone ceramic tiles which would help get the maximum efficiency out of the underfloor heating whilst giving us the wooden flooring look we desired. Raphael and the team were excellent throughout delivering high quality work and we were more than happy with the final results. I would highly recommend Raph and his team.

Highly recommend!! Tomasz and his team were very professional, hardworking, clean, tidy and reliable from day one! The quote was put together professionally and all the costs were transparent, any changes or additions on my part were always discussed and agreed. I felt that my property was in safe hands with Tomasz, which allowed me to take a step back. He and his team, did a fantastic job on plastering my walls, patching up huge holes in my ceiling and suggesting beautiful stylish colours for my walls. They also did a great job in making and fitting my new banister and skirting boards in the living room. If you are looking for a serious hardworking team, I would suggest you get these guys in.

AVOID. What was quoted as a simple 12-day project turned into a multi-month ordeal requiring constant chasing, while he pressured me to pay 80% upfront for barely 20% of the work completed. Unreliable: - Never stuck to agreed schedules; showed up at random times for a few hours or not at all. - Left materials dumped on the public pavement and communal garden, causing a nuisance. - Required me to personally manage and receive material deliveries. - Left pile-ups of rubbish in communal areas, which he only cleaned up after I refused to release final payment until it was cleared. Substandard work: - fence slats were noticeably warped from Day 1. - tiles thinner than specified in the original quote. - agreed raised flower bed never built. - custom built-in storage unit leaks, interior completely rotten and covered in mold just weeks after completion. - he made false promises that he would come back to inspect and fix his defective work to completely disappear

While the person was pleasant to work with and reasonably priced, the quality of work was disappointing. He repeatedly asked for additional money to complete the job he was originally hired to do. Unfortunately, after I mistakenly paid him before the work was fully completed, he never returned to finish it, citing excuses like issues with his van or needing to take his kids to school. If you're looking for reliable and high-quality work, I would recommend seeking someone else. L.B.C is not a business you can depend on to deliver a satisfactory result. I still have additional work to do in my garden, but I will be hiring someone else.

The job was a complete refurbishment of a one bed flat, including rewiring and re-plumbing. We would recommend Al and his team without any hesitation. From the very beginning and all the way to completion, we felt very lucky and fortunate to hire them. We found them to be very hardworking, conscientious and professional. The job was a difficult and complex one, but the team still completed within time and within budget. Al's advice made the whole process easier and we found him to be very trustworthy and honest. I recently had the pleasure of working with Teimo and his team on a full renovation of a probate house, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The entire house needed a complete overhaul, including two new bathrooms, a kitchen extension, new doors, skirting, walls, plumbing, electrics, as well as front garden paving, a brick wall, and back garden fencing.
