Wayne and his father Alwyn have carried out a number of projects for us: 1. Built a sturdy block based greenhouse to withstand adverse weather due to our location; 2. Refurbished a block-built shed - plastered external walls and fitted new door and windows; 3. Fitted pvc fascias and down pipes to the entire house. Always professional, courteous, punctual and reasonably priced. We always turn to Wayne and Alwyn when we have jobs similar to those described.

Having used Harvey for several carpenter jobs in the past, Harvey put himself forward to manage this project In the end I had to stop Harvey from working for the following reasons 1. The project ran months over the initial time. 2. It was reported by other tradesmen that Harvey was arriving late/leaving early on a regular basis, he was being paid a daily rate and charged for full days without fail. 3. It was reported when on site a lot of time not working, on the phone dealing with other clients, etc 4. Not a single job was completed from a carpentry perspective, ie doors hung poorly, skirting boards not complete, stairs not complete, bath boarded up with waste pipe to bath not fitted causing it to flood, guttering fitted did not flow properly and was not finished. 5. Harvey was unable to manage the project effectively There were many issues which in the last few months I had to deal with, including Harveys son who was assigned to install the plumbing/heating services. The plumbing/heating services were never completed and I have had to assign another tradesman to complete all the above tasks and to finish off many other items, all of which I have evidenced through photographs. Given the poor standard of work overall I would not recommend Harvey for any project of a similar size. I would also advise if you take Harvey on for any job to obtain a quote and not hire on a day to day basis.

Top chap, great plasterer, good price! Wayne contacted me very soon after my request for a plasterer. He came to my house and quoted for the work (large re-plastering job following damp course) and I was very happy with the quote! He and his team began work the following week and carried out an excellent job. The quality of the work is extremely high, he left no mess and as I don't live in the area he kept me updated on progress. I would definitely use him again for my other properties and would commend him to anyone requiring a plasterer.

We engaged Darren to construct a very large deck in our garden. He arrived on time to measure the job and was friendly and helpful, even suggesting a few things to improve our original idea. I insisted on flat not grooved boards and Darren took the time to source and price them for us. During construction Darren turned up when he said he would, cleared up after himself and was friendly and professional throughout. We have since engaged Darren to do other work for us and have recommended him to friends and neighbours. We would recommend Darren without hesitation.

After getting a quote and feeling that James (Kelvin) knew exactly what he was doing, I was pleased I was going to get a bad job done well. After starting 2 months after the date quoted and paying a large amount of money for materials, which weren't delivered as quoted, Kelvin eventually started work (end of October), knocking down existing roofing, and leaving it without any cover for me to move between my house and bathroom, we then had the heavy rain, which he did say was on its way, causing water to get into my house and the bathroom. When he did start, being at work I couldn't see exactly what was going on. These are the problems we are now having after asking Kelvin to leave the job. After moving back door out a little, and external drain now being exposed on the inside of the house, it covered as an eco drain. After placing the cover (which we now know doesn't fit) over the drain, it was concreted up, which is against building regs, leaving any debris in the drain, so after having rain again this has flooded causing water to spread under existing flooring. Bad electrical work - with no name of electrician or cert as requested Life wires being left exposed Bad plastering - which Kelvin admitted he was no good at Roof leaking - no name of roofing company to get back to Floor tiles which he laid v v very badly - loose and able to take up without use of any tooling and not breaking any. I would not advise anybody to take him on as a builder
