New Damp and Mould Law The new damp and mould law, known as Awaab's Law, aims to ensure that landlords in Scotland investigate and address damp and mould issues more quickly and consistently. The law requires landlords to: Investigate reports of damp or mould within 10 working days. Provide a written summary of the investigation findings to the tenant within 3 working days. Commence repairs within 5 working days if the investigation determines that work is required. Ensure the house is substantially free from damp and mould as far as reasonably practicable. The law is a response to the tragic death of Awaab Ishak, who died from a respiratory condition caused by mould exposure. It is part of Scotland's broader efforts to improve the safety and quality of social housing. The law will be implemented through a phased approach, with the first set of regulations coming into force on 6 October 2026.

When I turn 25 years old I was expecting my first child my son Rudi and it was at that point I decided to follow in my dad footsteps once again I leave to start a new chapter with 10 full years of being on building site and learning my craft I decided to start my own company RT3 contractors LTD and from there my own journey began and I have had a great time I have learn so much more about what it takes to not only building house abit what it takes to run a company.
