Hard Flooring- 8 May 2019
I was very pleased with Igor’s work on the flooring and under floor heating, so decided to ask Raimundas to quote for a large bathroom, hallway, fitted kitchen, rewiring of all electrics and flooring throughout the rest of the flat. Due to work and my partner living overseas, I needed to trust somebody for a long length of time with my keys and my property. I was able to have a lot of the work done while not in the country, communicating with pictures, videos etc. Obviously this was important for me and made having the work done easier. There were also many problems with the kitchen delivery and other things that didn’t go according to plan. Raimundas was patient and polite at all times, even though it was sometimes rather frustrating. I highly recommend his services, and would definitely consider RR Construction for the next job

I cannot recommend Dean highly enough - he did an excellent job refitting our bathroom - the work that he did is of a very high quality with an exceptional level of attention to detail. Dean stripped out the entire bathroom and replaced it with a new suite, blocked up a door, installed all the fittings, tiled and built a bespoke cabinet. His tiling, in particular, was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, and his communication was top notch - he checked all decisions and made sure we were happy with his plans. He left the house clean and tidy at the end of each day. He was very transparent on pricing and dealt with a couple of extra requests as well. We'd recommend him to all of our friends. If only we had a second bathroom for him to do....

Sohail worked closely with me on this project. Providing detailed costings, work schedules and build timelines. Filling my knowledge gaps with his extensive experience he was able to assist over and beyond what I expected from him. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of my control this development project didn’t go ahead. However when the next opportunity for a new build comes up I will definitely be using Rose and Stone. I did have another job going at the time where the other builder badly let me down and left me with a big problem on my hands…. Sohail and his team stepped in and took on the project. The team finished the job exceptionally well, which was a full on top to bottom conversion, some internal reconfigurations and with the addition of a loft and new downstairs WC. The workmanship and overall quality of the job was excellent. My wife is over the moon with the results, taking the house from a three bed one bathroom to a four bed 3 bathroom house. We would definitely recommend Rose and Stone for this type of extensive refurbishment/loft conversion work and look forward to working with them in the future on bigger development projects.

Mustafa is excellent! He did a fantastic job on our bathroom - so much so, that when we decided on a more extensive construction project, he was our first call. He is communicative, friendly, and hardworking. All his team are sweet guys and they did a great job for a great price. I cannot recommend him enough.

We engaged Maciej for a plastering and painting job to repair damage following a roof leak. He also sorted out replacing some of our roof insulation that had also been damaged. Maciej was very efficient and creative in what he proposed. Even though there were unforeseen issues with the job he kept to his original quote. He was tidy and managed to complete the job without putting us to any great inconvenience. Maciej is trustworthy and reliable. I would have no hesitation recommending him.

Florin and his brother did a great job on my spare room. Neat, tidy, easy to communicate with and completed additional work to remove trunking and drill electrics into the wall. Very good qualify plastering/painting to transform the room after knocking down old built in wall/cupboard. They also fitted a new toilet, levelled and laid floor in toilet and repainted. I’ve booked them in to come back and do more work as a result on main bedroom office and kitchen!

AP General Builders completed several jobs for us; including tiling, repairing wall cracks and painting. They were quick to respond and were able to fit us in quickly. They were very professional and we are really happy with the results. To say Nick is just a kitchen fitter isn’t doing his work justice, he’s a fantastic project manager and craftsmen as well. When we first met Nick he took 2 hours of his time running through all the options which was when we realised we were actually quite clueless! Although we hadn’t hired him at this point his advice was invaluable. We assumed this would mean Nick’s professionalism would mean he would be very expensive, this was not the case and he was actually a little cheaper than the other parties who quoted. Once Nick started it became apparent that he and his assistant Chow to great pride in their work and worked hard to get the job finished as quickly as possible to the highest standard. They left the site spotless at the end of each day. The result is a fantastic kitchen and flooring which we are extremely happy with. We are already thinking about the next renovation piece in our home and would love to use Nick again. Thanks Nick! Niall & Hannah

Positively, certain aspects of the finishing, particularly tiling, were carried out to a good standard. However, the overall experience was mixed due to significant issues. There were notable challenges during the project involving basic logistics and site management, leading to considerable inconvenience that seemed avoidable. Furthermore, the quality of workmanship was inconsistent; while some parts were good, other areas involving fittings and fixtures showed a lack of attention to detail in the finish, requiring later adjustments. Communication during the process could also be difficult, particularly regarding problem-solving and planning for materials. While we appreciated the parts done well, the project was let down by these inconsistencies and process issues, leading to some ongoing snagging and disappointment.
