We recently completed a first and second floor renovation alongside an 5x6m extension of our 1930s property with Maxcontractorsint.ltd , and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Ricky Reid I was looking for a company who could help me with a light refurbishment (kitchen, bathroom and full decoration) of a one bedroom flat in south west London to be ready for rental within 15 days. I posted my ad request on mybuilder.com and a few companies contacted me. Ricky Reid, was the third one I met and eventually the one I chose. Why? R. was straight forward, no gimmicks and did his best to understand what my needs were from day one. Especially when my vision at the start wasn’t that clear. Him and his team delivered within the time frame agreed as well as within the quote given plus a few extras that hadn’t been considered at the start of the project. He was always available for questions or clarifications needed over the phone at any time! A rare quality in itself in the building world. If there was anything that could be improved, this would be clarifying certain jobs that were on the quote (and I mean specifically what they exactly covered) from the start to avoid stingy or unexpected surprises cost wise. However this isn’t Ricky’s fault and I take my full responsibility as I should have done my homework before hand. Overall satisfied with the result and I would certainly contact Ricky and his team for my next future projects and so should you reading this review. Thank you Ricky and all the best in your company venture.

Tiling- 11 Mar 2015
Dimitry's help has been a god send for me. I have been looking for someone to finish my bathroom which was left half done - it requires tiling, bath panel fitted, wooden skirting to be fitted on the ceiling etc. Dimitry visited my flat on the day that I contacted him to give me a quote. He had a thorough look around the bathroom and gave me a VERY REASONABLE QUOTE. He turned up the next day promptly with a colleague and they worked through the bathroom steadily throughout the day. There were few things that could not be finished due to glue setting etc etc but he gave a very good advice as to how to finish those jobs. He completed tiling the bathroom for us which looks AMAZING. There were areas I thought would be tricky but he completed the job to a very high standard. He also built boxes around the pipes which was done very nicely. Essentially, he's done various different jobs requiring different skills and has been reliable. His lack of feedbacks (only had 2 feedback when I hired him) concerned me a little but please don't let that stop you from hiring him for a job - he is AWESOME. I would 100% use him again! As per the previous reviewer I don't usually hire tradesmen when there is only limited feedback, but given the glowing report I took the risk. And it proved to be a great decision. Astrit was great - clear communication, arrived when he said he would, sought our opinions on the key decisions and gave some great advice, before ultimately doing a great job for a reasonable price. A pleasure to deal with and will hire again for any future tiling work. Thanks Astrit.

The service I received from Hysen Zhuku and his team was excellent. I cannot fault them in anything. The quote I received was clear and easy to understand, breaking everthing down so that you know exactly what you're paying for. The work was completed to a very high standard and thought and consideration went into how the job progressed. Hysen and his team were polite and easy to talk to and left the property clean and tidy at the end of each day. I received regular updates and photos of the work and Hysen was happy to show me the materials that he was using and answer any questions. I can honestly say Zhuku Construction are the best builders I have ever worked with. They are true professionals at what they do and take pride in their work. I will definately be using their services again and recommend that you do to. You won't regret it.

Very satisfied with Tafix. Rewire, kitchen refurbishment and flat redecoration. Kamil and his team were extremely punctual and delivered high quality results. Step by step approach with impressive attention to detail. Creative in finding solutions to unexpected problems that arose. Kamil was proactive in advising on work outside of scope and happy to accommodate extra jobs where possible. Would recommend to others and will look to use for future work.

Conversions - General- 3 Sep 2025
Big refurb of 1650 sq ft flat, plus building 2 additional ensuites. Initial quote seemed reasonable but then once in, costs started to rise exponentially. Some work was done well, like the building component and flooring, but finishing was poor. Painting, particularly of internal doors, was done poorly, without removal of fittings first, so lots of overpainting and insufficient prep and coats. Regrouting and redecoration of front and rear patios was done poorly, with weeds already poking through. There was damage to existing bathtubs and WCs by not protecting surfaces and pouring waste materials down the pan. Everything was an argument with constant demands for more money e.g. front door only painted one side as the other side not included under "paint door". Lots of "snagging" - I only have manual on/off control of heating and hot water as "smart" thermostat won't connect, there are odd water pressures through some fixings...and now there's a leak under one of the WCs...

Very pleased with our choice. We initially got four quotes from different builders, most of them were terrible at communicating apart from Alfred. He was very easy to work with, responsive and very careful with our brand new house. His team was hard working, tidy and fast. They completely renovated our garden from removal of old decking and gravel to setting up new fences, levelling and turfing the ground. They also removed our old kitchen, partition wall and carpet, as well as did jobs like plastering, building a wall and set up lights and shelves. We’ll surely have him back soon to work on other jobs.
