I’ve been in the building industry for 15+ years starting at the bottom and working my way up to trade level for an award winning construction firm based in Chichester. I’ve spent 4 of the last 10 years working as a ground worker doing foundations, drainage and hard landscaping with machines and the last 6 years I’ve been working as a City & Guilds qualified bricklayer. Our main focus is on small to medium size refurbs, the kind of jobs where we can be creative and come up with unique solutions, whether that be a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or a living room. I hate big firms who just re-sell mass manufactured products, so I try to keep as much of the work, from the initial design and drawings through hand making all of my joinery in the workshop to install and completion done in house, with the exception of plumbing and electrical work for which I use people who are a lot more qualified and experienced than me!
