Hi, my name is Chris, I have been working in the building trade for 30+ years and have taken on many projects over that time & enjoy my work. I work alongside my partner Roz who not only is also very practical but also has great knowledge of design having studied design and worked in design management at John Lewis Oxford Street & Fenwicks of Bond Street. We both have a love for older style properties, and have refurbished many, bringing back original features that have been removed in the past. This includes fitting new bathrooms, kitchens, boarding & plastering ceilings and walls, ground clearance of overgrown gardens saving established shrubs & replanting where required. We own a lot of machinery we have collected over the years, excavators with specialised buckets, dumpers, rollers etc to get the jobs done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I have been working in the building trade for over 35 years and in that time I have been mostly self employed. I started my career as an apprentice plasterer learning all aspects of plastering including solid and fibrous decorative plaster. I worked for Islington council as a plasterer/tiler doing repairs and tiling walls and floors. My Father was a painter and decorator and I learned my decorating skills painting and wallpaper hanging during school holidays and weekends when I was a teenager. I learned brickwork with my brother who was a bricklayer and we built a lot of extensions and many conversions. Over the years I’ve worked with many different trades and learned carpentry and plumbing I don’t do electrical work but have enough knowledge for minor alterations. Over the last few years I have been converting and altering extensions removing load bearing and non load bearing walls erecting new walls to reposition bathrooms and kitchens. During the warmer months I tend to do exterior renovations and decorating facades. I never take on more than one project at a time. I have customers in east london, north London and Essex who would recommend me.
