Hi, I am a City and Guilds fully qualified Electrician who carries out mostly domestic work. I carry out all types of work from extra power points, adding spotlights, outside lighting or power points to a simple light fitting change. I offer a reliable, honest and friendly service and my business is fully insured. Jamie

I needed four new lights installed and one integrated fridge freezer disconnected. Jamie did a great job. He promptly responded to my request, quoted for the job over text, and we agreed on a day to complete the work. Jamie texted me to let me know when he would arrive. This was ideal, as it allowed me to plan the rest of my day. Jamie arrived on time, with all the correct equipment, and was really polite and friendly. Jamie got straight to work and completed all the work without any issues, tidying up along the way and even offering to help move the integrated fridge to the front garden, ready for collection by the council. Jamie did everything right. I received an invoice and was able to pay the quoted figure. Jamie is a great tradesman and someone others could definitely learn from. If anyone is looking for an electrician near Seer Green, he is only 20 minutes away! A well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars!

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of services do electricians in Hertfordshire offer?

Electricians in Hertfordshire provide a wide range of services, including electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, wiring and rewiring of properties, electrical inspections and testing, installation of lighting and security systems, and electric heating solutions. Reach out to our electricians to find out which is best suited for your needs.

What should I expect to pay for electrical services?

The cost of electrical services can vary based on how complicated the job is and what materials are needed. For instance, installing a new light will cost less than rewiring a house. To ensure you're getting the most competitive rates, we recommend obtaining a minimum of three quotes for comparison.

How long does it take to rewire a house?

The time it takes to rewire a house in Hertfordshire can depend on the size of the house and the complexity of the installation. Typically, it can take anywhere from 2 to 10 days. For a more precise timeline, it’s recommended you speak directly with your electrician.

Do electricians in Hertfordshire offer emergency services?

Many electricians in Hertfordshire provide emergency call-out services for electrical failures and urgent issues. This service is often accessible 24/7 to address immediate safety concerns like power outages, blown fuses, and other hazards. Make sure to check if your electrician offers 24-hour services.

What kind of qualifications should a good electrician have?

A qualified electrician should have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or an equivalent qualification. Registration with a regulatory body like the NICEIC or ELECSA is also a good sign of a reputable professional. Continuous professional development and specialisations in areas like renewable energy or commercial electrical work are additional positives. If you wish, you can ask your electrician to show you their qualifications.
