How can I check the standards of an electrician’s work?

To check the standards and quality of an electrician's work, you can look for reviews and testimonials, ask for examples of previous work or check if they are registered with a reputable body, like NICEIC. You can also check if they offer a guarantee for their work, read customer reviews, and view photos of past projects on MyBuilder.

What should I expect from an electrician?

An electrician should be **licensed and certified, punctual and provide a clear estimate** before starting the job. They should ensure the work meets safety standards and offer a guarantee on their services.

Are electricians required to have insurance?

I have recently had electrical work done by SIMTECH ELECTRICAL who contacted me through your site. I am very pleased to report that not only did Simon Borg arrive as arranged on Saturday morning but was personable, efficient, advisory and obviously knew his trade. I would be very happy to recommend his services to anyone. I hope you are able to acknowledge this comment since my wife thinks that this is not the correct way of this form of recommendation.
