Latest review:Plastering-Richard and Joe from RKH Plastering did a very job for us on our 1970s ceilings covered in artex. Richard came promptly to give us a quote and offered us after we’d accepted the quote dates to do the job within a few weeks. Joe who works with Richard came first and efficiently got on with the job, making sure everything was covered up and protected. The standard of work was excellent. We are very pleased. Thoroughly recommend RKH. You won’t be disappointed if you employ them for your next job. We would without a doubt have them to do work for us again.
Dominic was very helpful right from the start. Gave me a quote that was very competitive which I decided to go with. He came and did the job at the time he said and we are very pleased with the work that he did. Tidied up after himself and overall very happy with his work. Would definitely recommend.

Rating: 5 out of 5 552 reviewsAlistair completed a number of jobs for us including refitting our kitchen, removing our garage roof and replacing with a fibre glass structure, raised decking and balustrade, installation of patio doors into an old window frame, installation of window sills, curtain poles and pictures. All work was completed to a good standard and we found Alistair to be reliable and trustworthy. He had keys to our property to come and go as necessary. He is not the cheapest builder you will find but his workmanship and skill is second to none. He has tidy working practices and happily takes on extra tasks. We already have him quoting for additional jobs. I recommend him.
Andy completed a small job for me and was extremely efficient and completed the job to a high standard. I would certainly use him again. Very pleased and very good rates.

Latest review:Groundwork & Foundations-Being new to the area of North Devon it's often difficult to who to employ for your building work so I erred on the side of caution when it came to a large driveway extension job and started off by putting out to tender a smaller job of building a new retaining wall. Matt provided an excellent before, during and after service. His quote was clear and concise and professionally delivered and although the work started a week later than originally planned once he started on the job he continued on it to its completion. I was now confident enough to now offer him the rest of the work involving the widening of our driveway. Matt was happy for me to be involved with the build at all the various stages and listened patiently to my ideas, offering his expertise, experience and advise along the way. It's not often you find that tradesmen willing to lend this amount of cooperation but having spent a lifetime of preferring to perform my own DIY I wanted someone I felt wouldn't mind me occasionally mucking in and someone who was not averse to being flexible to my evolving ideas on how I wanted the final look. When it came to the real labour intensive work he brought in his team of helpers who he's had working for him a long time. They were equally considerate, conscientious and a pleasure to be around. Between them they formed a tightly knit team and Matt and his crew would definitely be someone I'd recommend

With 25 years between us, we undertake most aspects of the building trade including traditional methods using cob and lime. New builds, extensions and barn conversions and are fully insured.
Latest review:Plastering-Carlo Chandler of NC Construction was extremely helpful and professional. He did an amazing job on sorting out where the water was ingressing through the cracks in the rendered wall above the roof of the utility room. He adhered to the work schedule even when he discovered that it would be almost impossible to render the wall as when they cut into it, they discovered there were no bricks behind the concrete (the concrete was attached to wire). He sorted out the supplies for the wall to be cladded and did the job despite the bad weather with Storm Arwin. He also repointed the chimney in terrible conditions! I would highly recommend NC Construction to anyone! They did such a professional job and fixed the roof that had been leaking for 10 to 15 years!
