Started off brilliantly. Worked full days, friendly, professional. But once work was nearly finished builders disappeared carpenters only came occasionally. Still waiting weeks later for carpentry work, electrical work and final building work to be completed. Very disappointed, would be loath to recommend this company to anyone. Still hoping they will return to finish.

Bricklaying- 13 Aug 2022
Complete waste of time. Hired this tradesman a few months ago, to work on a simple brick BBQ. We had a conversation in person about the job and i informed him i would be supplying the bricks as they are "reclaimed". On the day they were to start the job, he turned up and said "oh" where are the materials, which was concerning. I had to explain our conversation in detail to point out that i said i was supplying the brick as they were reclaimed, no mention of any other material. I had just completed a huge renovation project and this was one of the final contractors to be used. Unfortunately this person is very amateur, and he then made me pay £500 for materials to be delivered. I paid for the materials and the new start date he suggested wasnt suitable, he then said he longer wanted the job! Can you believe it, he made me pay for all the materials, even though that was not agreed in person. I have dealt with over 12 different teams working on this project, and this one is the worst. No care in the word, he even sent a text said he was "quaking in his pants" about a bad review. I just replied saying, that sums everything up - totally unprofessional. Move on.

I am very pleased with the work done by Perry. He made good some damage to the wall and redecorated the room for me. There is now no sign of the damage which is a fantastic result! Perry was also quick to arrange to get the work done. I would happily recommend him to others.

Driveways (Paved & Loose)- 25 Aug 2022
This company needs to remove the words"reliable" and "top quality from their profile description. I could not get them back to remedy problems. Bad workmanship on front wall relaying of coping stones, could see daylight underneath and both came off. Tarmac hole appeared in new drive after 24 hours of being laid. This has cost me another £100 and part of the work I will have to tackle myself. NO aftercare, voicemails left, messages sent, never spoke to owner or saw owner after he was paid and still cant get hold of him. Took my money which I borrowed from family, and then disappeared. Empty promises and no show to put things right. Disgraceful. They are all over it before the work then you dont see them if you have a problem. Im still waiting for my 100 pounds back and a return call from 36 hours ago.... Cant believe the treatment. Havent used the drive yet but if more goes wrong it wont surprise me. These are factual statements and I have photos as proof of my bad experience. Any comment left by the owner in response to this feedback saying they remedied the faults above will be blatantly untrue.

Craig from CIty Driveways & Patios was the first of two to quote for patio work.initially due to being a member of my builder since Jan, and limited feedback was not one of my preferred options, however on viewing the job and verbal quote given decided to go ahead. All though no guarantee all company vehicles had company name, contact numbers and rated people and my builder logos,so looked professional. All work and materials were supplied as per WRITTEN quote, there was no skimping or shortcuts taken. In total in both areas 85 slabs 600x 600x 35 were laid in a mortar bed,Soakaway for drainage was installed,on main patio area Geo Fix Grout was used to co-ordindate with buff coloured slabs and has transformed this area.Craig kept me informed and updated on when workmen would be onsite. Workmen were always hard working and polite. All waste and debris was removed on completion of work.I would recommend City Driveways and Patios to family, friends or neighbours who require this type of work.

Edited to add- The driveway sank after less than 12 hours with a car on. Mark has been out to try and put this right, but has left it unfinished and is now ignoring all messages and calls when we query when he will return to complete the work. We feel totally ripped off. Left us with a terrible finish, never came back and now won’t respond to any attempt to communicate. Mark was completely unreliable. 5 days turned into 3 weeks and a lot of stress. we have got a driveway that cannot be used due to poor installation. I didn’t want to pay the last installment but have been hounded and threatened with debt collectors despite having a driveway not fit for purpose. I would not recommend.

Appalling service. Gutters are still full of grass and leaves - I have photos of before and after and he’s actually made it worse as there are now broken slates which were not before. Tried to contact but he’d taken the money and ran when he realised his super duper high reach hoover couldn’t reach nor do the job at all. He assured us he would return the next day- Hasn’t responded to messages on here. Be advised - this is a cowboy outfit. Do NOT Use. You have been warned.

Driveways (Paved & Loose)- 26 Sep 2018
Too bad! He look the contract for garden and driveway and got a lot of work from our references in our neighbourhood. But his work has started wearing of after 3 months now. He had done the roof installation for our shed but when it rained water flooded in and inspide of repeated calls and false promises he never turned back and ran away. His carpenter was rubbish and according to Larry he had been doing his job for 30 years but his work is rubbish he spoiled our windows big time. A fortune wasted when the work goes in wrong hands. I wish I could have uploaded the pictures, I have all the evidence for that. His dads temperament is so stressful and the way he comes and shouting at you when he himself has done wrong, it's a nightmare. Ours was a big job and costed about 21k just to get the outside sorted. I would still say that Larry is a hard working guy and polite too but he should noy take up the work which he doesn't specialises. It was a lot of money and he left all in a mess and ran away. We had so much stress getting the work sorted by another builder and paid for the same work twice.
