  Driveways (Paved & Loose)- 11 Apr 2025

Mike has just finished repointing the paving slabs in our new house that wrap around the whole house, easily a square meterage of 300. I first enquired about a different job with Mike through my builder and he was prompt with his responses and came round and quotedwhen he said he would. We agreed a price, I then added on to the job, which Mike was very obliging with. Unfortunately the job got postponed due to Mike having an injury and also my son being in hospital, Mike was excellent with his communication and once we agreed a start date, Mike was prompt and efficient. The slabs look like new what a difference, Mike even managed to use the fastfix joint compound instead of the agreed sand and cement, and wow what a professional finish. I’ve been so happy with Mike’s work I’ve asked him to quote on another project. Whilst here Mike met the whole family and everyone said what a top bloke he is. Don’t have any hesitation in booking Mike in for your job, he is very professional.

  Bathroom Fitting- 26 May 2026

We chose T Cruse Building & Landscaping to carry out a complete bathroom refit after B&Q quoted £10,000 which seemed excessively high for the size of the job. Terry was half the price. With hindsight, you probably get what you pay for. At first glance the finished bathroom looks OK but don't look too close - the finish isn't great. If you use Terry, I would make sure you have everything you want doing clearly written down and ask how he intends to do the work in advance so there is no confusion. It would also be beneficial to be there whilst the job is being done so you can see what is being done. reply to T Cruse comments: What you are saying is incorrect.Yes,the suite was still in place. It took you 10 mins to take out. There was 1 small patch of plaster on the wall- which I offered to take off.The rebuild of the cupboard was always planned. You fitted a towel rail 10cm off the floor which needs completely redoing. The new plasterboard stops at the top of the bath & lots isn't skimmed.
