  He came to visit the basement, recommended a treatment and confirmed that this will work. I'm not an expert of damp treatment so any treatment an expert will recommend to me I will just agree if he tells me that it is going to solve the problem. An expert will take a look at the issue, tell you which type of damp it is, which treatment will work and give you the quote for the treatment regardless of your budget. You can't apply a cheap treatment that you know it won't work and then after justify that the client has low budget. No this is wrong. Since he applied that treatment, he never came back to take a look after I reported that the wall is still wet as he told me that the wall will take time to dry. He has been giving various excuses and he never came back to take a look. Why do you recommend a cheap treatment to your client that will not solve the problem? No this is wrong. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that reasonable care and skill must be used while working. In my opinion, you did not use reasonable care and skill when you carried out this work. The last time he replied to me, he quoted the following: “In this case you have made it clear that this system has not worked so I will come back to you tomorrow with a date for inspection!” Since then I didn’t hear back from him and I was shocked to read his initial reply (that has been removed) on this platform with some false statements mentioned. Overall the recommended treatment was not fit for purpose.

  The lads were efficient and tidied up after themselves. They talked through the whole job and any problems. It was a bigger job than anticipated with some tricky parts. They were honest with me all the way through. I would definitely have them again and I am already earmarking them for the next joh.
