Whilst I only had one response from ‘My Builder’ I contacted several other Tradesmen, to meet them, appraise the job, discuss price etc. Well I can only say that Mr Brown was’head and shoulders’ above everybody else I saw. Mr Brown was uncovering things, giving information and options that simply weren’t forthcoming from the others. Mr Brown is a very friendly affable man, who calls ‘a spade a spade’ There is no flannel or ‘hard sell’ Mr Brown, takes his time and explains in terms that even I understand, exactly what the problem is, exactly what the options are, and gives an indication of price, which I found extremely reasonable. When Mr Brown starts a job, he doesn’t miss a day until it is completed. He keeps his clients fully in the picture as to exactly how things are going etc. Mr Brown also guarentees his damp proofing work for 30 years, with indemnity insurance, should Mr Brown no longer be trading, a builder of similar quality and qualifications will repair the problem with all parts and labour covered by the guarentee. Since working for me, Mr Brown has already secured other work in the area, as when people stop and chat to him, he gives such a good impression and has such a wealth of knowledge. I would definitely have any future work done by Mr Brown without a doubt. I would score him 10/10.

Not only did they find the cause of the damp but also highlighted a potential issue with my flat roof. The price was reasonable and were able to accommodate my needs. Alex has been brilliant from start to finish. He was willing to listen to what we wanted and advised the best way forward. He is very tidy, conscious of neighbours and the existing plants in the garden. He was very trustworthy and we felt happy to let him have the house keys. He was very thorough and we would certainly recommend Alex and would have him back anytime. His brick laying is very professional and he has certainly made a great job of the wall and fencing at the bottom of the garden.

Iain and his team did a fantastic job for us and we couldn't be happier. Firstly Iain - who is one of the nicest and most professional contractors I have yet met - assessed our property twice (at no charge) to make sure the job would be successful. On the day the work was completed it was done quicker than estimated and the installer did a very good, neat job and tidied up after himself. Excellent-damp was sorted. Moisture seeping through the outside wall. Bricks repointed, damp proofed inside. Had to have some of the units dismantled. Everything was put back together plus kitchen was repainted. The guys were courteous & very professional & kept me in the loop at every stage. Final price was the same as the original quote. Would definitely use them again. Have already recommended them to friends & family. A++++

Very happy. Professional, efficient, fair price, thorough, pleasant, reliable, fast, skillful, clean and tidy, polite, punctual. What more do you want or need from any building professional? If we need similar work doing again, I'd hire them again in an instant. We're experienced with builders and tradesmen, but not with this specialism. This sort of work is always very disruptive but Cedar minimised that brilliantly. If I'm being very picky, they could perhaps have used more dust sheets over furniture that was a bit further away from the work area, but plaster dust may well have got through even if they had - it gets everywhere - and I am being picky! We're delighted with them - don't bother looking elsewhere.
