Hi, Just a few brief lines to give you some idea of our company history, strengths, capabilities,and of course to explain the reasons behind our appearing on your list of artisans with very little feedback ,which ,of course, is your only realistic method of judging just who you may be welcoming into your home to carry out any works you may be in need of completion. First and foremost we are an English family company of building specialists,who now also speak reasonably comprehensible French,consisting primarily of a father ,me, and two sons, both of whom are qualified tradesmen in their own right ,one a plasterer/plumber,qualified to NVQ level 3 ,which includes fibrous compounds and lime rendering,and the younger son ,who holds similarly rated qualifications in both bricklaying and painting and decorating, For my own part there are no academic qualifications whatsoever.Put simply, I was too busy working as a bathroom / kitchen ,design / installation engineer ,and putting two sons through college to be able to worry ,overly much ,about academia,but to counteract that there is a lifetime of experience,confidently tackling and successfully completing ,almost every type of building/maintenance problem imaginable,We are, all three ,extremely capable multi trade builders with a wealth of individual /combined experience,and have recently returned from the very successful , year long, restoration,completed on behalf of a very famous Musician/Singer,who insisted on plastering of English quality as opposed to French, of a large Chateau in the Loire Valley region <Saumur>of France which had previously suffered extensive fire and water associated damage throughout. Prior to this we were operating in England as Loadsaroom loft conversion co.and although this indicates a company specializing in loft conversions,of which we completed a great many on behalf of an equal amount of extremely satisfied clients, in actual fact the majority of our work was largely consistent of refurbishment/restoration,and in particular type 2 listed buildings ,where quality of finish,and eye pleasing attention to detail are an absolute essential element and fundamental requirement. Only invite or shortlist us if you are happy to pay our survey cost £245+VAT. *** We are experts in understanding the true root cause of damp issues including condensation, black mould and wall surface damage/discolouration and accurately diagnosing structural damp and timber decay. We are also members of Radon Council and UK Radon Association and provide measurement surveys and mitigation solutions in domestic and commercial properties all over the UK including the Channel Islands. It is essential to understand the true root cause of damp issues in order to determine the right permanent treatment. Most surveyors, property managers and trade contractors misdiagnose the root cause and generally assume the problem is caused by some sort of structural defect which leads to treatments that dont work, ££££ wasted and the problem eventually returns. All too often we see treatments like brick repointing/rendering, DPC/wall injections, cleaning /replacing guttering, roof/flashing work, wall insulation linings, replastering that fail because they assume the problem is some sort of defect and have no effect on the real root cause. Furthermore, because the true root cause of damp issues stops for approx 6 months (Mar-Aug) in the UK we often see incorrect treatments that appear to work but only until the weather gets colder again later in the year. We dont do guesswork like this. Our surveys always pinpoint the true root cause which our solutions will permanently address so the problem never returns. Similarly our real-time radon measurement surveys identify concentration ranges that passive sensors cannot and our mitigation solutions are always permanently effective. In 2024 we won the H&V News Awards Building a Safer Future Award for our multiple radon mitigation design and installation work packages with Government of Jersey where we installed over 200 systems and reduced levels that were significantly above the UK Action Levels (Domestic and Commercial) to below the UK Target level.
