Get in touchAlthough Chris could do the work I needed doing within a month of me hiring him and his workmanship was of good quality I am afraid to report that his professionalism was not. He took my house key when he left even though we agreed he would post it through the letter box. After I had contacted him saying he didn’t need to take the key and reminded him we had agreed for him to put it through the door he didn’t return to do the work keep putting it off until he returned 4 days later. After the work was finished he issued an invoice for well over £200+ what he quoted. He added on VAT to his labour which was not discussed and tried charging me for materials that I had provided anyway. Also he did jobs that I had said not to do because I could do myself but then used this to try and make out I had a good deal and would be for free. When I politely asked for a breakdown of his invoice after he had text me asking to add more onto his invoice He then got very passive aggressive with me over voicemail, numerous phone calls which I had to decline due to his tone and text messages sent in capital letters being quite frankly very rude. Turns out those ‘free’ jobs he charged me for. He claims he is fairly priced.. I would disagree. £300 per day plus VAT on top of this, this is extortionate. I am sorry to say that I won’t be recommending Chris or be returning to him to have work done again. Nathan is great to work with, very friendly, knowledgeable and a good, pragmatic thinker overcoming problems with timely, cost-effective solutions. Nathan is courteous, tidy, cleaning up and on time every day, really hard working and working late where need be to be at the right stage to progress next days work to plan etc. Good liaison with local authority building control. This was a fairly complex job, removal of a 4m+ wide load bearing wall to open up kitchen into existing garden room. Involved installation of a pair of large structural beams with pillar/pad arrangement and associated foundation work plus opening up a doorway thru 3ft stone walls, making good on completion. Nathan also did the plastering to a spotless impeccable finish. Nathan is a very skilled builder, good attention to detail and great to work with. Fair & reasonable price and on target too. Extremely satisfied, will use again and strongly recommend.

This included taking out load bearing walls, installing a bathroom into a new room, boarding out and plastering, painting, plumbing and electric works. Excellent level of service, great communication throughout. Came up with solutions when my building threw them curve balls. Finishing touches to a high standard. Absolutely will be using again.
