Like with any job you reasonably can/should allow for some delays, misunderstandings and general extenuating circumstances that create snags, but with Henry it was pretty relentless. The work in the end was mid at best (some may even argue that, judge for yourself). The condition in which the property was handed back was pretty poor (unfinished and not cleaned), but worst of all his professional conduct and communication increasingly became abysmal as the project lagged on and I'm a pretty patient person. Even the estate agent was gobsmacked. The images included are examples of comms and how the property was handed back as 'complete'. Then threatening to charge for a (second) call out when the hob not being pinned was his error, is not cool. Ultimately, I've had to call another contractor to come and simply pin the hob down, as this contractor did not and gave us the runaround when trying to schedule him to come back and rectify (which definitely would be covered by warranty).

Nathan is very professional. His quote was competitive and very detailed. Building control said he was obviously a very good tradesmen, having requested the structural engineers report immediately. He was the only one of 3 tradesmen that did. Obviously the others were happy to bypass building control! We used PJC Joinery & Building Ltd earlier this year to block up a doorway from our living room to the kitchen and then to install a new kitchen. The work was completed to an extremely high standard. We were very impressed, not just with the completed work but also with the manner of PJC. It was good to know that they were professional and meticulous. Luke has been the best tradesperson i have dealt with. His team have been very efficient in all their work and i have already started discussions for other jobs in the following year. The vision of what we were looking for and his execution of the plan has been excellent. There were times when problems came up during the job and he was able to come up with solutions which were better than originally planned. The job took longer than expected, but with all the issues with Covid affecting deliveries and stock availability, this was to be expected. The quality of the finish is excellent, and as i have said, we are already in discussions for other jobs. The job has been filled with hidden charges from start to finish we were originally quoted a totally different price to what we have ended up paying with no communication throughout the job to explain these hidden costs. Gareth charged £30 for sealent and glue surely if you need materials the client should be told what is needed and how much it will cost onto the job? As these materials could have been provided to you by ourselves when asked for receipts there were none to show. Gareth also charged £20 to install corner posts to units that were provided by us instead of hinges again with no communication that this is an extra cost., as having had kitchens fitted before i have never come across this that joiners charge extra to put on corner posts or hinges! The original quote Gareth quoted included all working appliances, but again once the job was complete we were charged £60 for the gas hob installation this again with no communication given to us about this until the job was complete so we had no idea this would be an extra cost! The job should have taken a week but due to Gareths “disappearing acts” it has taken 4 weeks. Whenever Gareth was left alone to do the job he would disappear he never did a full days work and popped in now and again for an hour or so until the job was complete. The job was to install a cavity tray in the wall above an extension and to relay some flags. John did an excellent job. He and his team were pleasant and efficient and they cleaned and tidied up well after themselves. Throughout the process they were pleasant to deal with and very reliable.
