The job - gutting our living room. Tearing down the ceiling, removing all old wallpaper and ripping up the floor in order to insulate and add lighting. While we were doing this, we decided to replace the main steel in the living room (which was oversize and impacted the floor height in the guest room) and do remedial works in the guest room. The steel replacement was not time budgeted, but Oli and Tony didn’t hesitate to quote,To make time for us and bring in the structural engineer. Probably added 3 weeks to their time on site. The trades they brought in (plumbing for heating, electrician for downlighters, structural engineer and plasterers) were all professional, did an excellent job and were all unfailingly polite. It was easy to build a good, positive relationship with them, to the point we felt comfortable giving them the keys to the house so they could work while we went away for two weeks. They sent photos of their progress and showed up and worked as if we were there. I was very impressed by the state of the house when we got back. They watered our plants (I didn’t ask) and they cleaned the hallway so that it was spotless. They did a good job for a fair price, and were always cheerful and open to conversation. They came back to do a few snagging items without being chased (this is a huge thing for me, after having chased many builders to finish bits and pieces). I would definitely use them again.

I cannot rate Michael and his wonderful team highly enough. From start to finish they were professional, friendly, helpful and most important extremely trustworthy. Michael provided a detailed quotation for the works and spoke through each step of the work in collaboration with myself and my site manager to ensure we were happy. On completion there were a few niggles to sort, Michael didn’t rest until everything was as we needed. He has high expectations of himself and his team and it really shone through. Can’t thank Michael enough, hire without any reservations. A man of his word who we will no doubt be using time and again. Thank you.

Well. What can I say DS Builders came out to quote Thursday. Gave me a very reasonable qoute was that reasonable I accepted there and then. Dave and keelan came out and re pointed the chimney the next working day and was done by 2 pm yesterday.. They have also found some other roof repairs that I didn't know about they took photos to prove to me what's wrong. I've asked them to quote for the repairs.. Thanks DS Builders I've found a reliable building firm and a reasonable priced one too Would highly recommend

I was planning an extension to my kitchen, which included a complete refurbishment and the addition of a shower room. I also needed somebody to coordinate all aspects of the project, including recruiting the right resources for the building work, electrics etc. I was extremely pleased that Bull & Chisel were recommended to me. From the start, Bryan and Warren gave me the confidence that they were able to complete the project to my satisfaction. They were happy to continue working with me throughout and they liaised effectively with partners they brought in at key stages to ensure that each task was completed to my satisfaction. My Mum is soo pleased with the completed job, Tommy has made good of a previous bad job by somebody that I hired off of this site. I have chosen Byron and his company to complete my loft conversion. Job was completed within given time frame. Byron and the team were polite and hard working. During the building time, any issues found by myself were addressed and rectified as much as possible. At the closing weeks of my project, I have asked Byron to complete additional carpentry tasks. He found the time to accommodate my requests. Job had some messy stages but Byron was always trying to leave site clean as much as it was reasonably possible. Thank you for your work and I would be happy to hire you again in the future.
