I have used Ramsbottom stoves twice, as we moved house less than a year after we had the stove fitted. I have found them to be sensible, polite and very keen on safety. I have had good advice about choosing a stove, the work has been done on time and very, very neatly. Each time Mr Brownlow has made a point of explaining the best way to use the stove and has emphasized how to use it safely. The first time we had had difficulty getting any builder to look at our chimney because of the age of the building and because we are in a conservation area, but Mr Brownlow was clearly confident and experienced, unlike an "ordinary" builder who didn't seem to know what to do with our narrow, twisting chimney. We had been told that it would be "impossible" to fit a modern liner, but they managed it no problem. I would recommend Ramsbottom stoves wholeheartedly, and we really enjoy having a wood burning stove. They also sell and deliver dry, good quality firewood. Mark also responds quickly to emails or texts, so you don't feel that you ever have to chase him to contact him.

Jordan and Gary arrived as arranged and gave me a very good quote. The fireplace has been altered and a wood-burning stove installed. They were very helpful with advice regarding the new hearth and worked very efficiently and left everywhere clean. I am very pleased with the job and would not hesitate to recommend them 100%.

Absolutely a joke charged me 600 pound to fit an illegal flue which he fitted upside down no carbon monoxide detector fitted he advised not to use the fire until the next day when we lit it all the smoke came flooding inside the house he left this in an extremely dangerous situation knowing we had a brand new baby in the house when I contacted him he has totally ignored all calls and messages took him to court and he's pretending he has moved property ignored all letter as we won the case please please please stay away from this man he hasn't a clue what he's doing talks a good job and doesn't care what mess he leaves behind

Really good roof repair by Gaz from G V Roofing. Gaz took time to investigate the problem, explaining all the way along what he was doing and why. It would have been easy to build this job into a much bigger one but Gaz took time to trace the leak and then look for the reason for it, which turned out to be some failed pointing in a valley. Gaz turned up on the date agreed, completed the repair for the agreed price and sent me photo's to show the problem. He cleared up after the job and then followed up with a phone call to check that I was happy with the job. I would be happy to recommend G V Roofing and Building-a really first class job at a good price.
