After posting my job Samir replied with ‘I’m working in your area at the moment just finishing a job I can come round if that’s convenient for you, no call out charge.’ However, after he phoned, I was told there would be a mandatory £90 ‘inspection fee’. He said if the job was small the £90 would go towards the total charge. He attended the flat and, in a minute or two, identified a worn-out small plastic part. He said he would charge me £20 for the part and £100 for the fix, so the total cost was £120. He completed the work in just under 30 minutes and informed me the bill was £210. I had assumed the £90 ‘inspection fee’ formed part of the payment, but he said no, this would be on top. In hindsight, other contractors had been quoting £50 per hour for labour, so the £190 I paid for half an hour was effectively almost eight times this rate. To be balanced, he was punctual, polite and competent. Overall, I would advise any potential customers to ensure you are crystal clear on charges.

I wouldn't write a review normally but I feel others should be aware of this. I was wary due to reviews saying he was slow and didn't appear to know what he was talking about. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so accepted the quote and paid the 40% deposit. A bathroom electric radiator fit, involving some chasing of wiring into the wall and a certificate on completion was estimated to take 1-2 days. After 3 separate visits (2.5 days), it was made clear to me that the equipment required to test the circuit (to give certification) needed calibration and would need sending away, there was no time frame given for the return. I had a radiator on the wall, wiring chased, but nothing connected. I followed up twice calls and a text (1st after 2 weeks, then 2 weeks after that) to get a clearer time for a return to finish the job. After the final text message I received nothing for 3 weeks, at this point I could only guess he had abandoned the job. I heard from Donald out of the blue 53 days after the job had started, that he could return to finish. By this time I had had an entire kitchen fitted and the electrician on site finished Donald's work. Completely unprofessional, AVOID.

Mohammad is an excellent plumber and gas engineer. He is very professional in his attitude and a nice person. He provided us with valuable advice during initial survey followed by a very reasonable quote. It was a complicated job to remove a back boiler and install a Combi in a new location. He made sure during every step the workmanship was of excellence. Completed the work in time and left our house tidy. He made sure we had water supply at the end of each day. I can highly recommend Mohammad for any plumbing and gas related work. He'll definitely be our plumber for all future jobs.

Great communication; pleasant and efficient tradesmen. The problem wasn’t fully resolved in the first visit, but they returned to resolve the issue. I was charged for a second visit which was a little disappointing but happy they tended to the problem.

William was a pleasure to work with. He completed the whole job and bathroom, including cement floor tiles, porcelain wall tiles, fitted the bathroom suites, built and sprayed a custom unit with draws, and even replaced the light fittings. He was always professional, has excellent craftsmanship, very clean and tidy, and went above and beyond to make sure he did the best job possible. He is also very reasonably priced, yet never cut any corners, and made sure the job was done properly. He was always polite and considerate, and thoroughly cleaned up after himself everyday.
