Mr Ahmad has been a thorough professional and I would highly recommend him. He visited my apartment on time, liaising with the tenant before hand and managed to resolve the issue experienced, at a reasonable price. He had to make a number of visits to the property to resolve the issue and he was always punctual. You can tell he has lots of experience by the way he approaches the problem at hand and works out a solution. Just because he is new to Mybuilder should not put you off commissioning Ahmad for any jobs you may have. Five stars Ahmad. Well done and thank you.

Stefan replaced old, vented hot and cold water tanks (in a restricted kitchen cupboard space in my high-rise, ex-council flat), with a modern, unvented electric hot water cylinder. Installing this higher pressure system was too much for some older (hidden-under-bath tub) pipework, which started leaking. Stefan quickly came back to resolve this unexpected/additional issue. Reasonable price, very friendly, top-notch communications (clear understanding of the problem & kept me regularly informed on what was going on), excellent standard of work -> 5-stars and I'd be very happy to use his skills again!

After posting my job Samir replied with ‘I’m working in your area at the moment just finishing a job I can come round if that’s convenient for you, no call out charge.’ However, after he phoned, I was told there would be a mandatory £90 ‘inspection fee’. He said if the job was small the £90 would go towards the total charge. He attended the flat and, in a minute or two, identified a worn-out small plastic part. He said he would charge me £20 for the part and £100 for the fix, so the total cost was £120. He completed the work in just under 30 minutes and informed me the bill was £210. I had assumed the £90 ‘inspection fee’ formed part of the payment, but he said no, this would be on top. In hindsight, other contractors had been quoting £50 per hour for labour, so the £190 I paid for half an hour was effectively almost eight times this rate. To be balanced, he was punctual, polite and competent. Overall, I would advise any potential customers to ensure you are crystal clear on charges.
