Had a few delays due to outside influences (one of which was us catching covid) but all good in the end and kitchen and utility floor looks amazing. Hall to be completed at a later date due to our decision to have a wall removed and Dave was happy to accommodate us. UPDATE Stopped all communication with us after payment of most of money and never came back to finish job so hung us out to dry, had to get someone proper to finish job off at extra cost BE VERY CAREFUL EMPLOYING THIS MAN

price was ok, a few mistakes when they left and afew unfinished things, said he would come back to seal of against skirting however he never bothered after much contact. then the floor has come up in places, nice guys but ignored call backs

Started off fairly good, decent price. Initial self levelling latex was quite poor. Didn't seem to really check where the bad points were and in the end the finished level was only a bit better than before. Didnt advise me to use extra underlay before putting down our LVT click flooring which has led to lots of clicking noises and gaps between the subfloor and the LVT. Laying floor was at best mediocre. The cuts near the edges were the worst. Whole job was taking so much longer than originally predicted and then main point of contact went on holiday with no real promise of when he will come back and complete job. Ended up using much more skilled and fast flooring company to finish the 1/3 of the job he didn't finish and they redid some of the worst bits. Overall nice guy but just didn't do well for this job.

Horrendous STEER CLEAR OF THIS COWBOY, HES MESSED ME AROUND FOR OVER A WEEK , DIDNT ANSWER MY Calls & let me down an hour before he was supposed to fit my carpet I moved alot of things around today so this could be done, if I could give zero stars I would !! Stay away people he isn't the least bit to be trusted!!!

We agreed on the date the job was to be done three weeks in advance. Mr Magee forgot about our agreement. The job was postponed for a week and confirmed by a phone call just just one day prior to the new date. Mr Magee never showed up, did not answer phone calls and text messages. I hope he is alive and well, but would not recommend him to anybody due to his total irresponsibility in communication with clients.

Very poor. I agreed to pay half upfront as it was only a small job. Priderock were to supply the decorator and wallpaper paste. The 'decorator' arrived without paste. He had no transport, so in the end I had to stop work and go to the shops to get some. His instructions were very unclear, leading me to spend more than necessary. Finally he got to work, and did a terrible bodge. The boss refused to issue a refund, even though I sent him a video of the 'repaired' wallpaper being so brittle that it crumbled when touched. I'm worse off than I was before they arrived. Avoid this firm.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Andy Gilbey. I paid a £700 deposit for a carpet installation job that never took place. On the 16/08/2024, the company assured me that I would be refunded within 3 to 10 days. However, it has been much longer, and up until today the 13/09/2024, I have received no refund. Each time I contacted them, I was given the same excuse about needing to get in touch with their bank. Now, they have stopped responding to my messages altogether. It’s clear to me that this company is a scammer, and I hope MyBuilder takes action to check and remove this guy to prevent others from going through this ordeal. Avoid this company at all costs—they have proven to be dishonest and unreliable. Save yourself the stress and frustration.
