We chose SWLBC to refurbish a two-bedroom flat. This entailed complete redecoration, replacement of the flooring with a new engineered wood floor, moving old and installing new electrical sockets and light switches, running some new piping and replacing the heating system with a more modern and efficient one. The quote from SWLBC was very competitive and we are really happy with the quality of the work. The flat is transformed and it looks terrific. Ben Toone who is the proprietor of the company is very professional and helpful. He was easy to contact and responded to our questions quickly and thoroughly. We met some members of his team during the works and they are hard working and competent. They also cleaned up the site beautifully after they had finished. Thank you Ben and your team. The whole experience of having painters & decorators in your home can be pretty stressful but it can be a better experience if you have good people working in your home. Marcos, Davi and the rest of the Buildmore guys were the nicest guys you could ask for. We never had a day when someone didn't just turn up. Attendance, punctuality and communication was all good. The quality of the main job as well as the many extras we gave them were very satisfactory. They were VERY patient with us because at times we were a bit difficult. I would definitely recommend Buildmore because they give more!!!! We will be calling them again for future jobs.

We struggled to get anyone interested in our refurbishment project originally, Mark answered an ad for a small part of the job and ended up being able to take on the whole thing thankfully. Our project was to completely strip out a 1960's maisonette flat, install internal insulation which involved extensive battening of all the external walls, new plasterboarding & plastering finishes to walls and ceilings, tiling and a completely new bathroom and kitchen install. To complicate things further, as enthusiastic DIY-ers we wanted to do lots of works ourselves as well and few builders would have worked alongside novices as well as Mark did. He was always happy to give advice or take over works when we realised they were beyond our skills or time ;-) Our project was constantly evolving and challenging - as we discovered hidden rotting floor joists and the joys of 60's engineering - door lintels - who needs those?! Mark was always there to help us problem solve and get the job done professionally and to high standards and this was all done throughout the challenging last year of lockdowns etc. Without hesitation we'd recommend Mark and his team. He was always reliable, flexible as the project developed and had excellent attention to detail and we couldn't have completed our project without him. Thank you Mark!
