The initial quote communication was very detailed providing a clear indication of what was required and their quote. This level of information clearly indicated a high level of experience and knowledge.. I progressed with The job and I can honestly recommend them with five stars. They provided initial recommendations which I hadn’t considered which proved to be the best course of action. Dinitrri and kristoff were extremely punctual, clean tidy professionals provided lots of information ensuring we were kept up-to-date with details of the job and what would be expected and timelines. Everything exceeded expectations and I would 100% recommend them. 5*****

Painting & Decorating- 23 Sep 2026
I hired Valeriu to repaint and re-floor my entire one-bedroom flat, and the results are outstanding. He arrived on time every day, protected the furniture and floors before starting, and kept the place tidy throughout. The paintwork is flawless clean edges, even coverage, no drips and he painted the door frames in oil gloss, plus the window sills, which was a difficult job. He also used a sander to prepare the surfaces properly before painting. On top of that,he sanded and lacquered two of my doors with oil, giving them a beautiful finish. In the kitchen,he replaced the worktop and installed all the brand-new appliances including a dishwasher, which was a very difficult job taking the old ones out and fitting the new ones at an outstanding level. He also tiled the bathroom and sealed it all around,a great job as well. Then he laid laminate flooring throughout the whole flat. He’s a very skilled handyman who can handle any job including electrical and plumbing repairs. Highly recommended!

Hard Flooring- 1 Sep 2026
I WANTED TO LEAVE A MINUS REVIEW BUT THERE IS NONE, THAT IS WHY I HAVE LEFT THE LEAST POSSIBLE SCORE. I PERSONALLY DO NOT THINK THIS GUY CALLED MARCO KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT BUILDING AT ALL. HE IS A ROGUE BUILDER. HE SAID HE HAS 25 YEARS BUILDING EXPERIENCE, WHICH IS A LIE. I CALLED HIM TO DO MY FLOORING, KITCHEN CABINET, TOILET. PAINTING, FIXING LEAKS. HE RUINED THE WHOLE HOUSE. 8 MONTHS ON, WE ARE STILL REDOING ALL THE WORKS HE DID, HE JUST SPLASHED SILICONE ON THE UPVC TO FIX A LEAK. THE LEAK CAME THROUGH THE CEILING UNTO THE FLOOR CAUSING A BIG FLOOD IN THE HOUSE. HE IS THE MOST UNTIDY BUILDER. HE SAID HE WAS PAINTING, HE SPLASHED PAINT ALL OVER THE HOUSE, HE KEPT SAYING HE WILL TIDY IT UP AT THE END. UP TILL NOW, 8 MONTHS AFTER, I AM CLEARING THE MESS. ALL THE GROUT HE PUT ON THE TILES CAME OFF THE FIRST TIME I MOPPED THE KITCHEN FLOOR. ALL THE TILES HAVE MARKED PAIINT ON THEM AND IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THEM BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF THEM.

Kestutis was an absolute pleasure from the very moment of initial contact. I posted the job which included relaying some flooring and fitting door bars early afternoon, then by 6pm Kestutis agreed to come the following day. I needed the work done as a matter of urgency, so was realived at him being able to work around my late notice request. His rates were extremely reasonable, whilst not compromising on skill, professionalism and quality of the job. Seems to be of a rare breed of worker than doesn't mind working hard and realishes in exceeding expectations. What practical training or hands-on experience do you have in floor fitting?

Many Barbican floor fitters complete apprenticeships or training courses such as NVQ Level 2 in Floorcovering Occupations. This involves on-site assessment and practical work covering carpet, vinyl, wood, or laminate flooring installations.

How do you prepare the floor surface before fitting?

A local Barbican floor fitter should explain how they assess and prepare the subfloor, removing old coverings, cleaning and levelling the surface, and addressing any issues to ensure a smooth, long-lasting flooring installation in your Barbican property.

Can you share examples of previous floor fitting jobs you’ve done in Barbican?

Hearing about local work helps you understand a prospective Barbican floor fitter’s familiarity with different floor types and challenges common in the area, such as moisture control or uneven flooring. Take a look at their MyBuilder profile, as they may have images of their previous works on there.

Will you provide a clear, detailed quote for materials, labour, and any additional costs?

A transparent quote allows you to know exactly what you’re paying for. It’s also useful to ask how a floor fitter in Barbican will account for any unexpected costs if any issues arise once the work is underway.
