Orlando and team were absolutely incredible, I can’t recommend them more highly. They built a bookshelf, repaired some tiles around a radiator and painted my hall and wooden stairs, as well as some doors. They did a beautiful and careful job (there was ALOT of prep work needed on the walls prior to painting), were brilliant at communicating, always on time to the nearest minute and generally a 10/10 experience (and I’ve had some bad ones). I was nervous due to them being new to My Builder with only a few reviews, but they provided me with email references, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thank you Orlando and team! You really were brilliant. 5 stars all round.

The house needed lots of work doing and the new flooring was just one of the many jobs undertaken by Victor and carried out to a very high standard for us. He always paid attention to detail, ensured that the flooring was level and that the new skirting board fitted flush to the floorboards. I wish I took the negative comments more seriously before hiring Edi for my bathroom but he downplayed them very well, promised a great quality of job plus the pictures on his profile showed jobs properly done so I trusted him. What a mistake! I had exactly the same problems as described in the previous negative feedback. Basic errors with laying the tiles – not only uneven lines but also wrongly cut tiles that left plenty of gaps (he even covered one of the gaps between the wall and floor with a sealant!, others with too thick layers of adhesive or grout, which just look awful). He wasted many tiles unnecessarily too and wasn’t even able to apply the grout correctly; missing many tiles, creating lumps and failing to clean the grout from the tiles after application causing their discolouration! Not to mention plumbing problems – leak that gets fixed only for a couple of hours and then returns. The quality of job is of an amateur, not a professional. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an option to attach images to the feedback - I have plenty of them so please contact me before thinking about working with this person. He promised to correct the errors but I'm still waiting for this to be done nearly three weeks after the job was apparently finished. He is also avoiding contact. I hope MyBuilder will take relevant steps. My advice is – spare yourself the unnecessary stress and wasted money and HIRE SOMEONE ELSE!

We hired Lee to build alcove cupboards, shelves, various boxing in & door trimming. We couldn't be happier, he takes real pride in his work and the finish he has given us is excellent. We didn't give good guidance on what type of cupboards we wanted but Lee worked with us to get a really nice style and finish. He gave lots of advice throughout the job and even on one or two other things in the home we're working on. He's very polite and tidy and just a very easy guy to have in your home. Given he only lives around the corner from us, I hope we'll be able to hire him again down the line.

Overall flooring is well laid. However the laminate in the old kitchen area which is concrete slightly dips. Self levelling compound was used in the area where the wall was taken down so the compound could have beem extended or plywood put underneath to alleviate any dips. A long spirit level would have picked up the need to put self levelling compound in areas where necessary. Its a small area in the overall flooring but its a high traffic area and over time it may be affected. I communicated with the fitter that I wanted the flooring levelled so I would expect all areas to be level. The flooring was complicated in a small area so it should have been at least two persons doing the installation. I used a well known company for another room which is smaller and they had 3 persons doing the flooring which is better for the fitter and customer.

Lukas did the tiling in my living room and I am very pleased with the outcome. He was very helpful throughout, helped me get the materials, and explained me all the issues and options in detail. He filled the gaps on the floor making sure there are no uneven surfaces - sth completely ignored by the previous tiler I worked with. He is very professional, knowledgeable and very attentive to detail. He left the place in such a clean condition. Luke and Diti are both amazing guys for this project. Honestly speaking they aren't the cheapest quote, but they are definitely beyond expectations. Luke was the only builder who gave a full transparent quote on each item and what was needed for the conversion. Really quick work and good planning because I have 2 cats and they did everything with enough people onsite to minimise the time. Speaking of work, it is good, we kept in communication and they were always happy to explain and adjust slightly according to my concern/question. Leave this comment after the work has been done for few months and everything is solid.
