Im am a 29 year old floor layer, with over 10 years experience in the flooring trade, I have working in big stores like Marks and Spencers and John Lewis fitting floors throughout, after having a little baby, the nights and long stints away were not posible anymore, so I decided to become a domestic flor fitter, working for numerous flooring companyes including John Lewis self employed, over the years I paid to get qualified in differnet aspects of the flooring trade, to gain expereince and expertise in the trade. We have now within the last year setup our own business on a small family business scale and ecided to try it alone. I have the backing and help of family members and my partner who also is a trainee floor fitter, who's expertise is in sanding and laying of parquet woodern floors. We recently did some work for Morris Homes where we installed new parquet woodern floors, sanded and sealed them in new luxary apartment blocks. They have recently put the new builds on hold dude to the credit crunch. We have found it hard to gain business being so small, and found it hard to compete against bigger companys, we feel we dont have the overheads that other big companys have, so we give it our all by making sure the job is 100% perfect, we like giving it our personal touch if we arn't happy with the finished result we stay until we are happy, whether this is a retail job or a domestic job. We want the customer to be as happy as we are with the work. We have found it hard trying to make a name for ourselves, and getting people to give us a try, thats all we ask, we are sure people wont be disapointed with our workmanship.

Self employed builder/handyman for two years. Including converting properties into HMO's for 6 months.
