The job has been paid for CCTV has not worked since installation rotary line + ground stake install new was not completed new rotary line put in old rusty pipe which is leaning and won’t turn sent 2 emails no response failure to turn up for booked appointment with no advance notice appalling service

I required my cutting table height extended, in fact it was the correct height and kept on falling over,but had been done by an inexperienced handyman that’s why I approached My Builder after seeing the advert. Darren came and said it was the wheels on the table, I had sent him pictures of the same table which had been extended, he insisted it was the wheels, I wasn’t going to get into an argument so said he could continue. He never once asked me to check if he was doing what I asked I was busy so didn’t think I had to check up on a grown man. Four hours later he said he had finished and could pay him the amount we had agreed on. He brought the table inside and it was now standing On platform of wood wider than the table and 15cm SHORTER. When I mentioned this he said I should pay him and when next he came this way he would fix it. I was fuming and told him to go I would make do. I asked for an invoice - I paid him in full £180. Still no invoice or thanks.

Attended to price the job straight away said he would make a start on the Wednesday therefore we removed the doors for him not to turn up. Arranging another day he text the morning of to say he could not attend on this day!

Cant say I've had the best experience. My usual joiners weren't available so booked Majid. Unfortunately job over ran massively, van break downs given as reason for not coming in, not a tidy job, not very organised in ordering/gathering materials, didn't minimise disruption. Probably won't use again.

Whilst at the start, this gentleman appeared to be genuine when he visited the property to prepare the quote, but unfortunately, I declined as it was too much out of my budget. However, despite giving him lots of opportunities to return the keys to the property, and the agents also chasing him, he has failed to return the keys which leaves my tenants open to security issues. He does not respond to phone calls or messages and as a result, I would not therefore recommend.

Contact stopped and I couldn't get back in touch. We arranged a time on two occasions to visit to look over the job, an indicative quote had been given. After communication stopped, I found an alternative tradesperson locally.

Major letdown unfortunately. He (Elite BUILDING AND JOINERY) had to aquire another builder, no gates had been purchased on the start date of the job. Even upon the day previous to starting my job he still called to ask me to check measurements of the job, and came to drop of materials to which today they are still in front yard due to Matt " washing his hands on the job ". Shame, gave him a chance and he states he will pick up the stock, but I don't need to be around at all, still waiting for this to happen 11/03/2025.

Hired this tradesperson for a shed roof repair after he initially appeared knowledgeable and professional. The job was discussed in detail , and he provided a list of materials for me to purchase in advance. I arranged and paid for all materials based on his instructions and confirmed a date for the work. The day before the job, I contacted him to confirm timing and received no response. When I finally reached him by phone, he abruptly said he could no longer do the job, offered no explanation, and hung up mid conversation. He has since blocked all communication. This level of behaviour is completely unacceptable. Cancelling at the last minute without any notice or explanation, then cutting off communication, shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for the customer’s time and money. I would strongly advise others to avoid this tradesperson.
