I am currently a sub contractor to fire protection companies specialising in fire door installation and remedial/upgrade works. Over the last 7 years I have obtained a vast amount of experience within the fire door industry and a wealth of knowledge working for some prestigious and large fire protection companies. Most people don’t realise that the fire door they’ve had installed has been voided by the carpenter due to a lack of knowledge regarding the spec and tolerance of different door manufacturer's. Originally I started out as a carpenter working on domestic building sites and put my hand to tiling, painting and decorating and helping out with all trades. I’ve always enjoyed hanging doors and eventually ran with it full time.
