Thank you so much, Bill, for our lovely new alcove shelves and cupboards! They’ve completely transformed our living room and given it a whole new look. From the start, we just shared our ideas with Bill, and he helped develop them, talking us through everything clearly and making sure we were happy with the plan. He was also really flexible with our schedules, even going out of his way to take measurements on a day that worked better for us. We did choose to paint ourselves, and even though he didn’t need to, Bill still gave us advice for the painting. We’re so pleased with the finished result and really appreciate all the care and effort that went into it. Would definitely recommend Bill and will contact him for future similar jobs :)

Terrible job. He was supposed to fit 9 doors but after few doors he did I had to stop him and look for another carpenter. I am not a carpenter but even I could do a proper job. Most of the doors are not levelled and besides now we have to buy some of the frames again and get someone to come and replace the ones he made useless. So, I wasted money on labour in vain (to be spent again) and wasted on the frames to be bought again. The walls in the house are straight and plain as all the decorators noticed, so, door fitting was supposed to be an easy job... I wish I paid a little more and get a proper carpenter (Eduard Allko was really cheapest but, don't be fooled like me) I would never recommend him.

I have to give Ritesh 5 Stars. This guy really is a find. I went through 6 different builders, carpenters, handymen, tradespeople. They all flaked, delayed, disappeared, retracted, or flat out stopped responding. In one day with Ritesh I had a 1 page written clear agreement on what we both expected. We ironed out details, he clarified, I agreed. We chose a day, and he came with his assistant and on time, and got to work. Ritesh's work is not just top class, it's First Class. There's nothing more to say. That's the truth. He stayed calm under pressure, things went wrong, he kept calm, he kept other people calm and he ordered things for the job that arrive in under an hour. This guy is gold. There's nothing more to say.

They knew exactly what to do when I sent them the requirements regarding the replacement of my door. Due to the Grenfell legislation, I was obligated by the maintenance company of my flat to change my front door to an FD30. Tony and his team were very quick to do a site visit, provide a quote and even gave me some options of which door I could choose from. The installation was very quick and the work spoke for itself. I have recommended them to other residents and would definitely recommend to anyone else.

Ash at the very beginning was polite and patient ensuring that both myself and him had come to a clear understanding of the design I wanted. We presented him with a design and he was able to add his own expertise by making a few workabe changes. We wanted cupboards in the dining room with floating shelves and two cupboards in the living room either side of the alcove with floating shelves above. His workmanship was excellent with a very good finish. He had one other person working with him. They worked well together and were very professional in their approach. He also put on a door in the outhouse. The materials were of good quality, just what we required. I could not sing his praises anymore. I love the finish overall. Yes I would use him again.

HW Carpentry was absolutely amazing. They came out the same day, were personable and very easy to talk to. They even arranged to chat to the damp specialist we were using to make sure they were on the same page (re the cause and solution for the problem). They booked us in a few days later and finished the job in one day. Ricky was always available for any questions we had and we are so happy with their work! We will definitely use HW Carpentry again! Can't recommend them enough!

What materials and finishes do you recommend for my fitted wardrobe?

Find out about the range of finishes available, such as MDF, mirrored doors, solid wood, or high-gloss panels. A professional fitter can help you balance aesthetics, durability, and cost depending on your budget.

What qualifications or memberships do you hold?

Look for wardrobe fitting professionals in Purley with relevant certifications or trade memberships, such as NVQs in carpentry and joinery, or membership with the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).
