Hi im Daniel Mew, originally from the Isle of Wight but now living in Brighton. Im qualified in Joinery and Carpentry and Civil Engineering. Been doing Joinery and Carpentry since school, and now 37, Im well experienced in the trade. I have my own work van and all my own tools, so ready to undertake any job and also happy to travel further outside of Brighton for work. I've done everything from sash window repairs, bespoke media walls and wardrobes, bespoke furniture, kitchens, flat pack assembly, studwork, doors and linings. Carpentry is very satisfying for me to do as a career. Its very rewarding taking someone's ideas and making them a reality especially for bespoke one off products. I have great communication skills, visions and ideas, which is essential to create a good working relationship and deliver the best for the client. I did my Joinery apprenticeship with my Dad, so ever since day one the standard was set high and I maintain that standard even now, even down to cleaning and tidying once a job is complete.

I have been in the carpentry trade for 5 years now, I am passionate, dedicated and love what I do for a living. I am at the moment working for a brilliant carpentry firm and have been taught the necessary skills to carry out each task with a great eye for detail and do not cut corners. I am a first and second fix carpenter, I can do anything from pitching rooves, build staircases, stud work to doors, skirting, architraves and anything in between. I’ve been a carpenter for 10 years working in exhibitions, events and residential 1st and 2nd fix carpentry. I use my workshop to design and build multiple projects from, storage solution units, display cabinets, custom doors and units, shelving and much more, all built and finished to a very high standard with my work going to high end corporate clients as well as residential properties. I work with various materials and woods and able to offer a wide range of finishes on custom & bespoke items. While this is my main stream of work I also carry out 1st fix carpentry and am always happy to take on a range of tasks.
