I'm Tom, the person behind Furze & Fix — a local handyman service based in Furzedown, South London. I've been hands-on with DIY and home improvement projects since studying Design & Technology at school, and over the years that's grown into a genuine passion for building and fixing things properly. I've increasingly been taking on professional work and am now looking to offer my services more widely. I offer a range of general handyman services but my particular strength is joinery — things like decking, shelving, and general woodwork, where I take pride in getting the details right. Since leaving school and doing a 3 year Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship I have been in the trade 20 years. I mainly focus on 2nd fix Carpentry and especially like creating bespoke wardrobes and cupboards to create storage solutions in a number of different materials. I believe that having the right tools goes a long way in creating the best finish and those tools include dust extraction to keep your property clean.
