I’ve been around the building trade for most of my life. My dad was a builder, and when I was four he built the family home we lived in during the 1980s. I spent a lot of time on site watching the trades, learning the craft, and developing a passion for quality workmanship. After leaving school I worked for my dad’s company for three years before taking a break from the industry. I returned at 27, helping with projects my dad had won, quickly taking the lead on jobs and eventually setting up my own company in 2001. I ran multiple projects at once, earning a reputation for reliable, high-quality work. In the last four years, I’ve been working for a local small building company, gaining further experience on a variety of projects. I have employed up to 20 employees at any one time and build projects from £20k up to £12m for individual clients. So i know how to run a construction company and how to get the job done, but more importantly i believe i understand the stress and pressure all clients can endure if there build is not built within budget and within an honest time line.
