I started my career at a local building firm (Pickford Builders) who specialised in restoration of old properties. Work included splicing windows, extensions, fitting kitchens and windows and doors. I spent 5 years subcontracting for several conservatory companies including Amdega. I then spent 10 years working in and around London as a multi-trader. For the last 15 years I have worked locally around Great Dunmow as a multi-trader. I am happy to work within a 15-20 mile radius of Great Dunmow. Skills include: - carpentry - general construction and building work - painting and decorating - tiling - basic plumping - barn conversions - safe use of hand and power tools - problem solving - good communication - attention to detail - reading and interpreting building plans Knowledge of H&S regulations, safety procedures, building materials and their uses, manual handling techniques, use of PPE, waste disposal, basic first aid.
