Dan completed the job within the 5 - 6 expected days, despite a couple of unexpected hiccouphs, that were not caused by him. He is a very clean, tidy worker and is concerned to do a very good job. He was quick to provide a quote at a very reasonable price and was also happy to add in a couple of extra small jobs that cropped up at the time. We are very pleased with the overall finish and result and would hire him again in the future.

Conversions - General- 13 Nov 2024
August 2024: Jeremy Mills took £3,200, made our home unsafe by removing a load bearing wall and disappeared without a trace. DO NOT HIRE! He was hired for a bathroom extension. We are expecting our second child in January 2025 we needed the bathroom. Jerry has extorted us for money, whilst working a day a week and not doing the work we asked him too. Instead he removed a wall that was structurally needed. He is incompetent, over promise and not deliver. He says he had a team of experts but it is just him. He is a brick layer yet he promises plumbing and electrical work. He falsely advertising 30 years experience but he has none. The "contract " he gives is worthless. He does not give an invoice. He disappeared with our money, blocked our numbers. We are left in an unsafe house with no bathroom, no bedroom and no money

The building was a small barn conversion. Ritchie did all the jobs including electrics, installing the kitchen, plastering, stonework, roof and doors and windows. The stonework he did on the walls is very impressive. Ritchie does not like taking short cuts. Everything has to be done to the best of his ability and he doesn't like stopping until it's right. When building my property he worked closely with the building inspector which meant when it came to signing off the building there were few problems. Ritchie is a first class builder with very exacting standards. If you employ him the standard of the work will be high.

Disappointingly all the door linings were fit incorrectly and as a result, no door handles and locks are flush. Didn’t come back to rectify mistakes around the house and stopped responding to messages.

Incompetent and vacuous. Didn’t read the plans or sizes at the start, which meant many crappy adjustments were made throughout, ie sink on the wrong side, oven protruding out etc. Anything that seemed hard was an ‘extra’ cost. Damaged most items that were installed and then refused to change them as it was too much effort. Quality of workmanship was very low, and finishes were terrible, when requested to amend he flatly refused. He seemed very inexperienced and possibly had never fitted a kitchen or bathroom before. Once he had received 90% of the contract money he started refusing to do things and not turning up, eventually leaving the job unfinished. He totally ignored requests to finish the job and kept our keys!! He is supposed to be a qualified gas engineer - however managed to break our boiler and then refused to fix it as he didn’t know how. I mean it’s just lunacy! We have since had another quote to complete the work and fix all the damage he caused which is the same price as what we have already paid. The new builder noted the work used primitive methods and was substandard. I would not recommend Nikolay at all. Total nightmare to deal with and unbearably unprofessional. I can only assume the other positive reviews on here are from his friends!!

Ken and his son Mathew arrived exactly when they said they would to quote for the job. They were very flexilble and fitted in the job at a convenient time. They worked hard and cleaned up afterwards. What impressed me most was the fact that Mathew consulted with me when he wasn't happy with the way the blinds were hanging. He realigned them until we were both happy that they look right. Ken was kind enough to help and advise on a couple of other small issues. I would use the father and son operation again based on their work this time round. Jayne

My experience of Shane's business was positive. He turned up to view the job when arranged and quoted within 24 hours. His colleague came to replace guttering at the date and time agreed and took all rubbish away. Communication was excellent and I got the impression that I was a valued customer.

Extremely competitive quotation. Was very straightforward to deal with; happy to discuss options as the job went on; and was overall very happy with the results. Now have some nicely retouched decking, and a newly laid lawn in place of gravel, exactly how I wanted it.
